Felix's POV
I changed into my swimming shorts and draped a towel over my shoulder. I walked out into the hallway and saw Ryan leaning against a wall. I forced him a small smile. I reached over and ruffled his hair before walking down the hallway."Let's go," I said with forced cheeriness. Then I remembered something that made me smile for real. This will bring my plan into action...I thought.
Ryan was walking behind me as we walked downstairs. Once we were downstairs, he walked outside to his car and got into the drivers side. I followed him outside and got into the passengers side. I put on my seatbelt and looked outside of the window. Ryan got on his seatbelt and started driving.
"Its not that far away. Maybe only 20 minutes" he said breaking the silence. I nod.
"Sounds good," I said quietly, watching the cars and houses go by. I turned on the radio keeping the volume somewhat low. I smiled and listened to the song. I eventually started singing along quietly, a singing voice quite different from my videos. I sing quietly, staring out the window.
"You're a really good singer," Ryan murmured. Ryan's voice sliced through my thoughts. I glanced over at him.
"Ah,I didn't even realize I was singing," I said, feeling myself blush a little at the compliment. I smiled at him singing a little louder. Ryan let out a soft laugh as he listened to me sing. I kept singing, putting one hand on his shoulder gently, and smiling at him. I had a smooth voice that kind of ties the words together in a breathy way. I just sing to him, happy that he enjoyed listening.
Ryan smiled and remained silent. Eventually we arrived at the beach. Ryan pulled into the parking lot and stopped the car." We're here," he said. I looked at him and took off my shirt, leaving me in my swimming shorts.
"Let's go then!" I said, flashing him a wink before getting out of the car. Ryan took off his shoes and shirt and then got out of the car. We both walked together down to the beach area. There really wasn't a lot of people around like I expected there to be. I put my towel on one of the benches. Ryan set his down beside mine.
"Bet you can't catch me," I teased. My bare feet sunk a little in the sand. I glanced at Ryan, a smirk on my face and a playful hint in my blue eyes.
"Oh really," he asked, a miscevious smirk on his face. He lunged towards me. I gave a shriek of laughter, sprinting away across the sand. I ran around, occasionally turning in a different direction to try to throw him off. I had a huge smile on my face and I was laughing in joy. I heard Ryan close behind me and put on another burst of speed. I gasped for breath as I ran, trying to stay in front of Ryan, but he was covering ground fast. I tried thing faster. I heard Ryan let out a quiet yell as he tripped and fell over. I stopped running and turned to face him.
"Jeez, Ryan. Are you alright," I asked as I jogged over to my friend. He lifted his head and let out a small laugh.
"Yeah,I'm fine," he said. He slowly sat up. He looked over at me a huge grin on his face."By the way Felix," he said. He lunged at me and tackled to the ground."I caught you," he said with a small smirk.
I stared up at him." I swear..." I muttered with a slight laugh, gazing at him with a soft smile." Okay fine. You got me," I said in defeat. He smiled and got off of me. He stood up and offered me a hand. I grabbed his hand and he pulled me up. I let go of his hand and brushed the sand out of my hair a off of my back."Race you to the water," I asked, a playful hint still in my eyes.
"That's just your excuse to see me fall again isn't it," he asked. I smirked.
"Maybe," I said teasingly."3...2...1...Go!" I said a instantly took off. Ryan chased after me. I slipped a little and regained my balance, speeding across the sand again. I eventually made it to the water, jumping backwards with a little high-pitched noise when the water touched my foot. Compered to the weather, the water was cold! Or maybe I'm just a wuss...
"Felix, the water isn't that bad," he said while stiffling a laugh. He walked over and stood beside me for a moment and then walked into the water.
"Whatever," I scoffed, not wanting to look like a wimp. I walked into the water, biting back a shiver before slowly getting used to the water."...There," I said, giving him a small smile." You're right," I admitted." It's not bad," I said before going deeper into the water and looking back at him. Ryan rolled his eyes and laughed.
"Told you," he murmured. He walked over to me. I smirked and grabbed his wrist leading him deeper into the water. My smirk turned into a soft smile as I looked into his eyes. Ryan flashed me a gentle smile. I let go of him, feeling a shiver creep up my spine as the water hit my stomach. I looked at him with a little smile. Ryan looked down at the water and smirked.
"I hope you don't mind if your hair gets wet," Ryan said before he quickly dipped his hand in the water and splashed water in my face. I stared at him, shaking my hair out. A smirk formed on my face.
"You shouldn't have done that Ryan," I said and splashed him back, getting his face a chest. I jumped back a little. He narrowed his eyes and splashed me back. I give a shrill laugh as the water hit my chest. I moved around in the water to try to throw him off and splashed him back.
Ryan laughed as he continued splashing me back. I continued doing the same, splashing him with high-pitched giggles. I never had this much fun in Brighton! I kept splashing him, a huge grin on my face. Ryan eventually stopped splashing me so he could calm down and try to catch his breath from laughing.
I made my way through the water towards him, wrapping my arms around his shirtless body, a small smile on my face as I tried to catch my breath also. Ryan smiled and wrapped his arms loosely around me as well. I grinned at him.
"You're so much fun Ryan," I said, calming my breathing down. I slid my arms down to his waist.
"Thanks. I'm just glad that you're having fun," he murmured. He rested his arms around my waist. I gave him a soft smile when I felt his hands on my waist. It was nice that I had a best friend that I could be close to and not have it be awkward. He also comforted me and helped get my mind off things. Ryan smiled and then looked down.
"Cry," I said quietly, gently rubbing his bare sides." Thanks you, for being you," I murmured, giving him a soft smile. I looked around, seeing not to many people, and moved closer to him with a little shake from being a wimp to the water temperature. Ryan looked back up at me.
"You're welcome Pewds. And thank you for being my best friend," he murmured softly.
"Listen..." I murmured, my smile fading, feeling myself blush slightly." Can I ask you something," I said quietly, locking eye contact with him. Uneasiness flashed in his eyes, but it was gone the moment it came.
"S-Sure," he stammared. I drew in a deep breath. I never moved my gaze from him. I asked before I even thought about it.
"Do you have a crush on me?"
