Selena’s P.O.V

After Justin left, I walked downstairs and into the kitchen to find my momtexting on her cell phone.

She must have felt my presence because her head snapped up.

“Quick I need your help on what to wear tonight!” She said while dragging me up to her room. And, yes I mean just herroom because Kurt sleeps on the couch. Hehe.

“You’re going out with Corey tonight?” I asked while searching through her drawers.

Corey? Her boy toy? Her nineteen year old boy toy, I might add. Ridiculous, I know. He’s only two years older than me.

She laid across her bed and watched me.

“Yeah. And I probably won’t come home tonight. Kurt’s gone for a few days for work.” Yes!“I’ll just come home tomorrow after I do the barn.”

My mom is at the type of barn where she has to take care of her own horses. But she doesn’t have to pay as much board as a normal barn.

“Wait, what about Josh? He can’t get himself ready and on the bus tomorrow morning.” I said while throwing a shirt and some pants at her.

“Shit.” She said. “Well why don’t you just drive him in the morning? You can be late for school. I’ll pick up Joshafter school so you don’t have to get him,” She said while getting dressed.

“Be late for school? Mom, it will only be the second day of school and already a tardy?”

“Oh please. You don’t need those couple of hours anyways. You could get straight A’s in your sleep.”

I lightly laughed at her while shaking my head.

“Fiiiiiine.” I whined.

My mom laughed. “Dude, where did you come from? I swear you’re not my daughter. If my mom told me I could sleep in I’d be like, fuck that I want the day off or no deal.”

We both giggled. I knew she would’ve.

I arrived at school a couple hours late today. I had to go to the office and get a pass for my class which was math.

I walked into the class, awkwardly avoided the eyes that were focused on me, and sat in my seat.

As the class went on, I could still feel a pair of eyes on me. I turned to my side and was met with Justin staring back at me. He gave me a small smile, to which I returned, before we both turned away.

The bell rang signaling the end of math class.

As I walked out of the door, I started for my locker to get the materials for my next class.

Just as my locker was unlocked, another hand popped into my vision and opened my locker for me.

I turned my head in surprise and saw Justin leaning his shoulder against the locker next to mine.

“Jeez, Justin, give me a heart attack why don’t yuh?”

He laughed, “Oops.”

I proceeded to grab my things while smiling.

“So how’s your day goin’ so far?” I asked.
