Marcos Burial Conspiracy (PG)

Summary: This is my headcanon why Pdiggy so in favor for Marcos burial in LNM.

Leni has been against it since day one, she was badly against the burial of the late president Marcos on the Heroes' Cemetery. It is a huge travesty and mockery to the victims of Martial Law way back before — in her own opinion — but recently, Digong spoke about it publicly telling how he is considering the approval of it.

He is a soldier anyways. He doesn't have to be a hero to be buried in that cemetery.

"Heroes cemetery. Sir naman. Hindi naman soldier's cemetery yun eh. Ihiwalay nalang natin yung pangsoldier." Leni disagreed. Digong sighed as he felt torn.

"Pag-aaralan ko, I'll allow protests and rallies of the people about this para marinig ko yung mga sasabihin nila." He replied respecting her disagreement.

She felt so powerless as he seemed to be so sure of what he wants. She already tried pleading him about it but he didn't seem to change his mind.

This issue caused a slight riff between them. Leni felt irked whenever she is around when Digong debates and defends the point of allowing the Marcos burial at the Heroes Cemetery. She swore to be always there to back him up but she just can't agree with this one and she felt torn about it. The more that she felt stressed as Bongbong continued to protest against her with regards to the previous election cheating accusations.

She just felt so bombarded of not being okay with her sanggang dikit and facing Bongbong's pathetic electoral protests. She felt so heavy but mainly it was because of her riff with Digong. She wasn't used to not being okay with him but due to this conflict, they suddenly stopped talking and began avoiding each other.

"Good evening, Digong." Bongbong greeted him warmly as he visited him for a talk about his father's burial. "Good evening." He replied and took a seat to begin with the discussion up until it reaches its depths.

Digong couldn't handle to make Leni feel upset about this burial issue, he decided to revise his discreet deal with Bongbong.

"What I'm suggesting is I will give your father an honorable burial but I cannot go against the majority who are against it. I will give president Marcos the burial he deserve in respect to his contribution as a president before and as a soldier pero hindi sa Heroes' cemetery. We cannot compete with the majority." He explained his new idea. "Maybe I can give him a special spot in Manila North Cemetery, kung meron kang suggestions okay lang din." He added.

"Akala ko okay na yung sa Heroes' cemetery?" He asked. "Oo kaso nga hindi pwede na makipagcompete tayo sa majority who's against this." He replied.

"Anong stand ni Leni sa issue na 'to?" Bongbong asked, Digong was stunned for a moment thinking if it's safe to share her stand. "She is not in favor. She has been transparent since the start." He replied. "Kaya I came here to talk. My option B would be this, another cemetery but still an honorable burial-"

"I get it. I get it Digong. Ayaw ni Leni na malibing ang tatay ko sa Heroes' Cemetery that's why you are offering another option." He interrupts. "Yes," he didn't find anymore reason to deny.

"Napagusapan narin namin yang pamilya and all we want is a decent burial for my father so I think okay naman kung ganyan yung arrangement. We don't have time to debate with people against us too, hindi ko naman masisisi rin ang mga tao." Bongbong shared.

"So are we good with the arrangement?" He asked ready to defend the Marcos plead for a decent burial for the late president in case people would protest against it. "Okay na 'yung ganon, Digong." He agreed. "Yung napagusapan natin dati, ganon parin." Digong reminded him.
