He loves her. She loves her. They love each other but being together is just so complicated. It has been a month since they decided to settle in being just friends despite that their hearts wanted more.

The church's seats are quite full already when they arrived. "Diyan ka nalang sa harap." Sally, her mother commanded. She took the empty seat while her mother took the other vacant seat at the back.

She bowed her head and closed her eyes for a quick prayer before the mass begins.

He walked in and took the seat that his friend saved for him. "Salamat ha." He whispered and took the seat. "Oh, sa kotse nalang ako Digong." He replied, he isn't catholic.

It took her attention to hear his name from the mouth of the person beside her. She opened her eyes and glanced at them, it surprised her to see Digong sitting beside her — he was equally surprised to see her.

"Ma'am." He uttered, uncertain if he sounded awkward.

She sat beside him. "Sir, nandito rin pala kayo?" She greeted with a question.

"Yes ma'am. May pamisa si father. Inimbita ako, ayaw ko naman tumanggi kay father." He replied.

"Maaring tumayo ang lahat..." the priest began interrupting their conversation.

They managed to act casual as the mass went on. Sally observed quietly behind them, she knows their story and she always liked Digong for her daughter. It thrilled her to watch them in front of her eyes.

The people went back to their seats as the priest began to deliver his homily. Rodrigo and Leni remained silent, keeping themselves busy pretending they are attentively listening to the sermon even if they are actually distracted by each other. They were pining to have a glimpse of each other's face, the smile and appreciate each other's presence.

She closed her eyes — still pretending to be listening — she sighed in relief, Digong looks really glowing. His skin was bright, he looks so neat with his ironed checkered polo, its buttons were finely buttoned up. He was a breath of fresh air to her.

He looked down to the floor blankly, his hands tangled together in front of him. Her hair looked so soft, he could feel its texture in his fingers. Her lips were pink, he reminisced its sweet taste against his. He could smell her perfume from where he was standing, it was lingering on his senses. She was still the lady he always adored. She was such a beautiful view to him.

As they got back to their senses, they realized that the priest was talking about love and finding love as a part of his homily.

"Pano mo ba masasabi kapag mahal mo yung isang tao?" The priest asked. "Yung pagmamahal hindi lang naman yan sa boyfriend or girlfriend mo. Kasama rin diyan yung pamilya mo, mga kaibigan mo, mga katrabaho mo, kapwa mo." He continued.

"Pero doon muna tayo sa taong gusto natin para maraming makarelate." He suggested. "Pano mo ba malalaman kapag yung taong yon eh iniibig mo?" He asked the people.

Sally smiled, she thought the topic was fitting for her daughter and Rodrigo.

"Iniibig mo yung taong yon kapag yung taong yon kaya buoin yung araw mo kahit nagsisimula palang ito, kapag makita mo lang siya parang ang saya saya mo na," he began.
