Finding Cinderella

Chapter 2

Emily's Point of View

The halls of Lake View High were crowded with students. The troublemakers were outside of the office, sitting on chairs waiting for the principal to call them in. The football team doing a morning practice before the game tonight.

Lindsey and Mindy being surrounded by three other girls. Aka Diana, Sophia and Maya. The five of them are the sluts in our school. The drama club are in the drama classroom rehearsing their lines for the play. And well everyone else is being their stereotypical selves.

Cristal, Alyssa, and I were walking through the hallways to our lockers. Coincidentally our lockers are at the same hall. Alyssa is right across from me and Cristal. Cristal is three lockers away from mine.

I opened my locker and grabbed my books for my morning classes. First is Algebra, then, Biology, then French, Finally English Literature until Lunch.

"Hey Em." Both Grace and Taylor said as they walked passed me. They were the cutest couple you would ever see. Taylor had his arm around her shoulder and his free hand held her books. Grace was a cheerleader and also Cameron's sister.

"Hey guys." I said, surprised they acknowledged me. They usually were too busy talking to each their or messing around. They smiled and walked into their classroom.

I closed my locker to see Cristal applying a little bit of her eos lip balm.

"Hey Cristal." Someone said behind her. It was Nash. Yes the Nash Grier. He moved to Cali. and has been here for eight years now. He gave his usual cheeky smile.

"Hey Em." Nash said leaning his head to see me.

"Hi to you too Nash." I replied

"Hey Nash." Cristal said also grabbing a book from her locker.

Her backpack on the ground.

Once she was done, Nash sweetly closed her locker for her and picked up her backpack. She turned around facing him. She was blushing. I squealed in the inside of my head.

Alyssa and I secretly ship those two together. They're just two oblivious to see it or maybe Nash is the one who's oblivious. He kept smiling down on her.

"Aww!" I said. Regreting instantly that I did. The two of them looked at me strangely. I just giggled and made my way to Alyssa. She was grabbing her last book, her backpack at her shoulder.

She closed her locker.

Suddenly, Alyssa screamed and covered her mouth with her available hand that wasn't holding her books. Cam was laughing behind her.

"You son of a bitch." Alyssa said while slapping his harm. "Why'd you poke me?"

"Because I like scaring you." Cam said trying to contain his laughter. "C'mon Lyss it was just a joke."

"Yeah to you. Just leave me alone Dallas." Alyssa said as she stomped pass Cam and walked away to our class.

Cameron stopped smiling and turned around to watch Alyssa walk away. He frowned a little bit.

"If you like her why don't you tell her instead of playing with her feelings."I said to him. My books crossed over my body and my backpack slid to my elbow. I pushed it up slightly.

"What?" He asked confused.

"Stop playing. You know you like her and I know she likes you too. She just won't admit it." I said to him with a 'duh' tone.

Cam just kept looking at me.

"I gotta go apologize." Cam said before taking off. I looked around to see Nash and Cristal were gone.

"Looks like I'm alone." I muttered to myself. I continued walking down the empty halls. I looked at the wall clock. 8:20. 'Great I'm late." I thought. I was about to walk pass the office.

"So I hope you enjoy you're time her Mr and Ms. Espinosa." Principal Benson said to some guy and girl who walked out of the office.

"Thank you sir." They both said back while they each shook the principal's hand.

"Oh Emily." Principal Benson greeted to me. "Just the person I wanted to see."

"Hi Principal Benson." I said to him.

"You and Matt mostly have the same classes together so I'm wondering if you can show him around?"

"Sure no problem." I said.

"Okay so Matt I'll leave you into Ms. Thomas's hands. And Bella you'll have to wait a little bit, I have to find someone to show you around." Principal Benson said before going back to his office with the girl, I mean Bella.

I admit this guy Matt is pretty cute. "Snap out of it Emily. Say something." I said to myself.

"So welcome to Lake View." I said to him. "My name's Emily." I said to him.

"Thanks I'm Matt." He said to me flashing a small smile.

"Are by chance the friend that Cam and Nash were talking about who's moving here? And is that your sister?" I ask him as we started walking down the halls.

"Yeah, are you a friend of theirs?" Matt asked me.

"Yeah." I replied

"Well I guess you and me will get to know each other more." He said and winked at me.

I didn't know it at the time but Matt was going to change my life forever.
