Emily's Point of View

Tonight's the Ball and I'm kinda nervous. I mean why should I be, like Cristal said no one will know who I am.

I woke up to the light rays streaming from the attic window.

I looked like a mess from my mirror across the bed. My hair was all frizzy and my eyes had bags because I couldn't stop thinking about tonight.

I got up and got dressed in a white chiffon button down shirt with small black stars, black shorts and my white flats. I grabbed my backpack and headed downstairs.

I see Adriana reading the new issue of Seventeen magazine at the counter. She was sipping her raspberry lemonade.

I was about to ask where Twiddle Dee and Twiddle Dumb were but I forgot they were sleeping over at Sophia's house.

"There you are I was waiting here for five minutes for breakfast and now you have the decency to show up?" She spat.

"I'm sorry it won't happen again." I said.

I was now fumbling into the kitchen and making her breakfast. I placed her food on the counter and refilled her drink.

"Now the girls and I won't be back in the house until Sunday morning." Adriana says.

"Why?"

"Because the girls are sleeping over at their friend's house to get ready for the dance tonight and maybe go shopping with them tomorrow." Adriana replied.

"Well then where are you going to be?" I asked her

"I'm going to Hollywood for the weekend. I need new headshots to send to the modeling industries." Adriana says finishing her breakfast.

She was about to get up when she turned back around. I scoffed. "Please, no one wants to hire a troll." I thought.

"Now when we leave you to the house for yourself, you must do all your chores or else no college money and you're grounded until the end of time." Adriana says.

"I got it." I replied.

"Good now like usual I'll post your 'To Do' List outside the door." Adriana says before going upstairs. "Also I'm going to call at say Midnight to check on you."

"What if I'm asleep?" I asked.

"Answer anyway. That way I know you're at home."

I sighed and washed the dishes. "Great no ball for me." I thought to myself.

I grabbed a waffle real quick and sat on the couch in the living room. I'm so happy the girls and Adriana won't be there for the weekend, but in return I probably have a chores list as tall as me.

I'm 5'5 you know how crazy of a list that is. It's going to take me the whole two days. "My life sucks." I said to myself.

I heard the familiar car horn of the Navy Mercedes Benz and walked out the door, my mint green backpack slung to my side.

Cristal was at the driver's seat and Alyssa took the back this time.

Cristal was wearing a white lace tank top with a light jean jacket with a white lace tank and light grey shimmery shorts. Her grey Keds matching her outfit. She had on silver bracelets and earrings. Her hair was pulled up in a ponytail with her bangs pulled back. Her makeup was done naturally again.

Alyssa was wearing grey/black/white acid ripped jeans with a loose coral cropped top with 3/4 sleeves. She had on her black low top converse and a dark grey knot chain necklace. Her hair was down and in her natural waves. Her side swept bangs to the side. Her highlights showing clearly.
