Chapter 5

Emily's Point of View

The boys were still having their conversation. Trying to catch up with Matt and all.

Cristal huffed. Probably bored. Alyssa cleared her throat loud enough for everyone to hear.

"Anyway who's going to the Masquerade ball tomorrow?" Alyssa asked trying to get the guys to talk to us.

"Taylor and I are." Grace said. Taylor just smiled and placed his harm around her shoulder.

"So are me and Jack." Emma said proudly.

"How bout the rest of you?" Taylor asked.

Matt just shrugged. "Maybe but I don't think I can get a date."

"C'mon everyone there will be wearing masks." Grace said.

"Yeah meet your own mystery girl." Cameron said.

"Also known as your own Cinderella." I said smiling. I mean I wish it was me going with him to the dance but, I might as well try to be friends with the guy I like.

Matt just smiled at me. Making my stomach feel like butterflies. I smiled back at him. He then turned his attention back to the guys.

"Cam, Nash are you guys going?" Matt asked.

Cameron wasn't paying attention because he kept poking and tickling Alyssa's side, making her slap his arm.

"Cam." Matt asked a second time.

Cameron jolted up. "Huh?"

"Are you going to the dance?" Matt asked.

"Yeah." Cameron said. "Can't disappoint the girls." He said jokingly but to Alyssa she just slapped upside his head.

We all laughed except Cam.

"How bout you Nash?" Matt asked.

"Yeah why not Cristal you'll be there right?"Nash said.

Cristal stopped drinking out of her ice tea. She just frowned. "I don't know." Nash made a small frown and went back to eating.

Matt turned to me and Alyssa. "And how bout you two?"

Alyssa just shrugged. "I maybe want to practice more of my moves for the competition."

"You can practice at the dance." Grace said.

"In a dress and heels?" Alyssa asked making a face.

Matt turned his attention back to me. "Emily are you going?"

Ugh his smile makes me melt. I thought. Snap out of it Emy answer the guy. "Maybe not."

"Oh." Was all he said. The bell rang ssignaling lunch was over.

"See you later guys." I said.

"Laters." Or "See yas" was all I heard before left.

Time skip:End of school

Still Emily's Point of View

I walked out of school my backpack slung over. I saw the Navy Mercedes Benz and Cristal already waiting.

It was Thursday which means Lindsey and Mindy are going to get their nails done for the dance tomorrow night.

Adriana is probably with them also leaving the house empty. I walked over to Cristal and took the passenger seat.

"Where's Alyssa?" Cristal asked.

"Mrs. Riley wanted to talk to her about tutoring someone."

Alyssa walked out of the building and ran over to us.

"Sorry guys. Mrs. Riley wanted me to tutor Mark again." She said annoyed.

Mark Zanders is the most selfish, stuck up, player at school. He just wants to get into girls' pants and that's it. We hate him and his crew. He's a bigger hot head than Cameron. Cam hates him too. (Maybe because he tries to flirts with Alyssa.)

"Ugh I feel so sorry for you." Cristal said.

"Tell me about it."

We drove back to my place. I walked to the front door seeing a "To Do" list from Adriana.

"Need some help? " Cristal asked.

"Please." I replied.

I really loved these girls. They're always there when I need them.

We were cleaning the closets, scrubbing the floors, doing the laundry. Anything you can think of.

As we were dusting the shelves and polishing the vases in the living room Cristal started talking.

"You might thank me for this idea or think iI'm crazy."

That got both Alyssa's and my attention.

"Well spill." I said throwing the rag on the floor.

"We should go the ball." Cristal said.

That caused the two of us to raise an eyebrow.

"Why?" Alyssa said.

"Think about it. No one will know who we are." Cristal said.

"And that way know one will find out the girls behind the masks are us." Cristal continues smiling. "We can meet the guy of our dreams."

"Maybe this is an excuse for you to flirt with Nash." Alyssa said with a smirk.

"Maybe." Cristal said blushing.

"C'mon everyone wins. I can finally try to get Nash's attention with him not knowing its me. And you and some amazing dancer guy can share the perfect dance, and Emily can hit it off with Matt."

That caused me to cough a little. "Me and Matt." I said.

Alyssa and Cristal just laughed.

"Really?" Alyssa asked. "We see the way you look at him."

"Am I that obvious?"I asked shyly.

They just nodded.

" I think you both would be a cute couple." Alyssa said. Cristal nodded and agreed.

"Just for one night." Cristal said. "You can talk to the guy you really like with confidence."

"I'm totally in." Alyssa said.

Cristal high-fived her. "Emy?"

I thought about it for a while. If I do do this I can get to talk to Matt. In the bright side if I make a fool out of myself, he won't know it was me in the first place.

"Okay." I said.

We grouped hug. "Remember no one can know its us especially the girls." Cristal warned.

Alyssa and I agreed. Well...just maybe this can work. I just smiled. I couldn't wait for tomorrow.
