First Sight

A.N-: Thanks to all those reading this. The characters are a bit ooc but please bear with me.

Disclaimer-: If I owned Katekyoushi Hitman Reborn! Then I would have married all the characters...but I don't so I'm stuck with fanfics.

Alaude was absolutely done with Giotto puppy eyes. The Sky Guardian may be famous for the strength of his rings and the Hyper Dying Will mode but his most lethal weapon was his ability to manipulate the toughest, stone-faced, heartless people using those eyes. "I should make them illegal." Alaude mused. That way he wouldn't have to do stupid stuff like grocery shopping.

The usual candidates for shopping, G and Asari Ugetsu, were out on a mission and Giotto himself was surrounded by mountains of paperwork he was not allowed to escape from. Daemon was nowhere to be found (probably at Elena's) and no way in hell they were going to let Lampo shop for groceries again. The kid had bought only candies and it had caused the rest of them varying severity of toothaches. Knuckle was supervising his boss since was still a bit injured from his last mission. So, the boss of the most feared vigilante group had turned his puppy eyes to Alaude and the Cloud Guardian, who didn't even like puppies, was forced to go out to such a crowded place rife with weaklings.

Alaude sighed as he took the purchases from the shopkeeper and took out his wallet to pay. Suddenly a person bumped into him and the Vongola dropped his wallet. The figure that had bumped into him picked it up and held it up as a silent apology. The blonde man noticed that said figure looked a bit strange. They were wearing brown ratty trousers and a similar coat which seemed five sizes too big completely obscuring the person's shape, making it impossible to figure out if it was a male or female. An oversized fedora covered their whole face. "Grazie" Alaude said and the figure just nodded. They turned around and walked away hurriedly. The Cloud Guardian just paid the shopkeeper.

"Stop him! Stop that ladro!" a big, burly man was shouting while running in his direction. Alaude scanned the crowd and found the person from before stiffen and walking faster, slipping into a narrow alley. The burly man ran past it, never slowing down.

The person in the oversized fedora just sighed in relief as the big man went past him. "Seriously, these people could afford to be a little generous." They sighed again and peeked out to see if the coast was clear. Suddenly hearing footsteps they turned around to see the man wearing the trench coat from before. He was carrying his bag and a pair of handcuffs. "Reveal yourself and give me a good enough reason for not arresting you." The man spoke in a calm yet commanding voice. The figure sighed for the third time in five minutes before speaking in a low, barely audible voice, "Sir, I did not steal from anyone." "Now I can arrest you for stealing and lying.

Alaude took a step forward and the person turned to run but the Cloud guardian was quicker and grabbed the figure's hat. It fell down revealing waist long locks of midnight black hair. The figure turned and revealed them to be a girl, about eighteen. The skylark did not notice any of this because he was completely mesmerised by her eyes. Her big chocolate orbs held a bit of frustration as well as annoyance but what caught his attention was the amount of desperate determination he saw.

The girl snapped her fingers in front of his face and broke him out of his trance. "Well? Do you want to see my reason?" Alaude nodded dumbly and girl put the fedora back on her head.

"Then follow me, Signor Investigatore."
