Daemon had just guided the last group of kids to their quarters. Now that they had played and dined, all of them were sleepy. Giotto had not been sure if they would be able to handle sleeping alone in an unfamiliar place and had put them in groups depending upon the age. Each room had at least one member of the 'older' age bracket. Turning around the corner the blue-haired man saw his lover looking out of one of the hallway windows. She had a serene, thoughtful look on her face and looked beautiful in the moonlight. The illusionist thought himself to be blessed that he had found someone as beautiful-inside as well as outside- as Elena.
The blond caught his eye and waved him over. He joined her at the window, an arm around her waist as she leaned her head on his shoulder. They stood there in content silence and watched the night sky. The quiet was broken when Elena hesitantly started, "Ne, mi amore," he shifted his eyes to her. "Do you ever regret you know...this?" she said gesturing around them and biting her lip. Daemon stared at her intently for a second and then burst out laughing. The young woman was confused by this and looked put out when her lover's laughter subsided and he looked at her, adoration filled in his purple eyes. "Do I regret the single, most amazing thing to have happened to me in my life? Of course not. Maybe in another time you had not met Giotto as he broke into your father's property. Maybe we would still be together but in the suffocating scenario of aristocracy. Who knows? The only thing I know and care about, mio cara, is that the past has brought me here to this present moment and currently I am looking at mu future."
His hand caressed her cheek and she felt eyes getting misty. Wiping away the tears she mumbled. "You smooth-talker." At this the blue-haired man grinned impishly and leaned down to kiss her. Just before their lips touched, however, he said, "Only your smooth-talker, love. I swear, for no one else will I ever spew poetry and promises of affection." Breathlessly the blond replied, "You'd better not." And closed the distance between their lips.
It was a sweet kiss full of emotion and sincerity. They parted and smiled at each other, hand clasped together with interlocking fingers. As they both leaned in again to kiss a sound came from the right. "Daemon! Primo is calling you and Elena to his office to the maximum. He asked you to fetch Alaude to the maximum!" And the Sun Guardian went away as fast as he came.
Daemon twitched slightly and muttered something about maiming priests and setting Bibles on fire. Elena noted, with a healthy amount of amusement, that he looked like a kid who had been denied dessert and instead given more vegetables to eat. Pulling him along she made her way to the skylark's office. Knowing that the door was Flame-locked she simply called out, "Alaude! Giotto's called a meeting! Come on out!" and patiently waited for the ill-tempered man to come out. It had become somewhat of a rule for the guardians to make sure that the Cloud Guardian actually came to the meetings instead of skipping. Muffled sounds were heard from inside and few seconds Alaude stood at the door pulling Stella, much the same way as Elena had been pulling her lover.
"Stella?! What are you..." the blue-eyed blond trailed off catching herself. The skylark was possessive about his belongings and if something happened to said 'belonging', the icy law-enforcer would probably blame the young aristocrat. So she just smiled brightly at Stella, who returned the gesture, and walked away with her lover at her side. Daemon leaned down and whispered in her ear. "The skylark is finally claiming his perch." Elena just giggled lightly and her lover smirked, watching the abovementioned skylark and 'perch'. They reached Giotto's office and found that all of the guardians were present there. If any of them were surprised by Stella's appearance they didn't show it. Elena was already part of Vongola's inner-circle and it was obvious that the young orphan would be too. Like hell Alaude was going to let the raven-head out of his sight.
Clearing his throat Giotto called the meeting to attention. "As we all know, the inmates of La Casa Orfana will be joining us from now on. Signora Stella," the Light-flame user waved her hand cheekily. "has volunteered them up for training." The rest of the people in the room looked at her in shock. The raven-head just smiled sickly sweet and said. "All of them are well-versed in different types of weapons. Some of them even have their own specialised fields of combat. Moreover, almost all of them have active Flames with some amount of control. We are mafia, not wimps." A slightly dark aura was emitting from her and Primo sighed; another deadly female whose ruthlessness knew no bounds. Elena looked overjoyed, finally finding a companion for her behind-the-scenes manipulating.
"And as such," the blond with gravity defying hair continued. "The kids will be assigned to different guardians depending upon the Flame types and weapons. However, you are to keep their training to minimum unless they are specially permitted by at least five of the people currently present here in this room. Permission will be given only when they pass a test, specially designed to challenge their chosen abilities. Am I clear?" The guardians cheered and clambered out of the room to make preparations until only the Sky, Storm, Cloud and Mist guardians remained, along with the ladies.
Stella raised her hand and said, "Primo? Could I request that Daemon Spade take Guilia?" the illusionist looked surprised at the request and looked questioningly at her. "Her Mist flames are similar to yours as well as powerful. I just think that you would be the best candidate to teach her. But if there is any problem..." The blue-haired Mist smirked and said with a slight bow. "Nufufu, it would be an honour to serve the Principessa Della Mafia." Elena looked sharply at her lover and then at Stella. "Principessa?"
Stella looked confused. "Don't you know? Guilia has royal blood and is next in line to be the Underworld Princess."
Mi amore=My love
