"Mr. Romero..."

"Ah...Yes Sir?" I doze off. Hindi ako mapakaniwala na bigla nalang akong na-out of focus.

"I was asking you if na complete mo na ang ibang application form mo? UST? La Salle?" Mr. Napkil asked me as he sits down in his lime green computer chair. Napatingin ako sa kanya as if na parang I was surprised kung bakit ako nasa position na yun.

"Mr. Romero???" He called me out once more.

Sagot ko sakanya and I smiled to hide the confusion. He looked at me in an observing manner. Siguro by this time iniisip niya kung bakit ako nawawalan sa focus. The thing is, for the past hour na umiikot ako sa school to roam around for further more improvements, nag tataka parin ako kung ano nangyari kagabi sa party.

"Lennard."

"Sir, alam mo naman na I don't want to be called by my second name." Reklamo ko.

"Look, I was just testing if you're now awake." He said.

"Mr. Romero, what's going on? first day na first day ganyan ka. Ano? Bakasyon parin ang utak?" He asked. He seems to be a little surprised kasi tama naman, It is not like me to be like this.

"It's nothing sir, just a little bit of hangover." I said and he nodded. He placed the files on the right side of his desk. Leaned more towards me and said; "You're one of the most prestigious student there is dito sa Dalton Academy, and madalas ko narin nasabi sayo yun, maybe three times already. For two years of presidency sa student government natin? You've already done a lot and students and teachers alike are really impressed." He paused. I looked at him, his eyes filled with conviction. He looked at me as if I was his son. "What I'm trying to say is that; I know na pinag sasabay mo ang social life mo sa family mo and sa school works mo. Stress is just a word, we must learn how to work under pressure at all circumstances and lalo na pag dumating kana sa kolehiyo...anak, hindi pwedeng pa-petiks petiks lang. Hindi ko sinasabi na ganyan ka, pero all of my students should know, lalo kana Nicho. This is your last year here in Dalton Academy, I'm sure that you want to make a great impact sa mga students dito. Why not start now?

That is all I have to do and that is all what matters right now, to make a huge impact. It's about leaving a mark here In Dalton Academy. And right now, I'll exert more effort in my grades para sa Application ko for college and sa pwede kong magawa bago ako umalis dito.

The rest of the class was a blur.

I texted the student council body to meet me sa same spot, sa hide out namin. Room A23, the student council office. Inside this office is everything that we ever need para magawa ang mga agenda namin sa mga school year. We specifically placed lockers here as a privilege for those who are members of the council na mag karon ng private lockers. We also have desk, an elongated table for meetings, projector and it's complete set kasama na VGA, school and office supplies and of course a complimentary espresso machine para hindi kami antukin. It's all the courtesy of my dad. And all members are may spare key ng room in case of emergency.

Syempre as a council president nauna na ako dun para ayusin mga gamit ko needed for this meeting. I checked the time while I was segregating the agenda papers from last years and those na gagamitin namin ngayon. 5:13 in the afternoon. Nag set ako ng 30 minutes na meeting para pag usapan ang pwede namin gawin for this school year.
