"Were you going to kiss me?"

I blinked, watching Tora stir awake and I pulled my hand back.

"No," my eyebrow twitched. "But I sure am going to smack you instead."

"Smack your lips onto mine?"

"You're hopeless," I rolled my eyes.

"Because you're my hope and I lost my hope when I lost you."

I felt my heart ache at his words and I wanted to reach out to him, yet I knew better.

"I'm not dead."

"But our happiness is."

"Tora," I warned, my voice low.

"I'm sorry."

His voice was sharp and I sighed, slinging my bag over my shoulder as we headed out.

I raised my head up to the sky once.

The distance between the both of us only separating us more than we could ever imagine.

And oh, how we'd regret it.

I snapped.

I finally let my patience run thin and break entirely as I had fisted his collar in my hands.

"Don't even dare to think you're leaving today."

My voice was cold, something I never imagined I'd have to use with the one person I genuinely ever cared about.

But like they say.

Some things fall apart, and some get thrown out the window.

And that's exactly what happened with Tora and I.

"You can't stop me, I told you. I have busi-"

"I don't care what business you have. It can and will wait. I stayed silent all throughout exams. Now the exams are over and results are in, it's full steam ahead for the fair and you've been doing this every day," I glared at him, his eyes narrowed at me.

"I have more important things to do th-"

"More important?" I cocked my head to the side, harshly letting go of him entirely. "If the student council means that little to you, then resign your position of student council president."

Without letting him say another word, I spun my heel, leaving the class as I made my way to the office

Without letting him say another word, I spun my heel, leaving the class as I made my way to the office.

"So most classes have already started preparing for their activities! We're doing great!" The journalist grinned and I smiled back at him.
