Bilbo's POV

I used my ring to get into the mirkwood halls unnoticed. I had the keys and went to the cells.

"I'm going to get you out. Where's Barawen?" I asked Thorin as I unlocked his door.

"She was asked to see the king she hasn't returned." Thorin replied and I worried.

"I'm going to come back for you all, I need to find her." I said.

"Of course master Baggins." Balin nodded and I got out of their view to use my ring.  I walked up the stairs to see the king.

"Has she remembered?"a blonde elf asked.

"Some things but she refuses to leave the company." The king replied. "The half-ling that she said they traveled with but wasn't captured is a father to her."

"Where is she now?"

"In the east hall the first room on the left right above the dungeons."

"She shall return father. I am sure of it." I scuttled off. I ran through what I knew had to be the eastern hall and found her door.

"Bara!" I whipsered shaking her awake.

"What?" She asked. "Papa? You're okay!" SHe was happy.

"We need to get the dwarves out what happened with you and the king?" I asked.

"I'll explain later your right for now. I've got my weapons back what's the plan?"

"There are barrels enough for all of us. We'll each climb into one and go down the river."

Barawen's POV

Papa had found me and told me the plan.

"Alright let's go." I said and we ran down quickly. Unlocking the cells we walked down to the cellars. Everyone was rejecting Papa's idea until Thorin told them to listen I climbed into a barrel. I would return to Thranduil but I had to do what was right and he wouldn't release them. We fell into the river. I watched as the elven kingdom drifted away. I saw the orcs begin to attack and the lever to the bridge being pulled up I knew what I had to do.  I climbed up and was shot in the leg. I quickly fell down Kili was coming near me.

"No Kili." I said and he jumped back into his barrel.

"Barawen!" Papa shouted.

"I'm sorry my love." I whispered and pulled the lever down releasing the dwarves as my father ran by I jumped into a barrel. The way down I was feeling the poison was ebbing into me slowly and I knew I would die. We landed on a rocky shore. I sat down and bound my leg. But suddenly arrows were being fired at us.

"Do it again and you're dead." He said.

"Please good sir we need passage into Laketown. We'd pay you greatly. I'm injured I need your help." I begged.

"Only for you milady." He replied and I smiled limping onto the boat. The barrels were rolled on and Papa looked at me.

"Are you alright Bara?" He asked.

"I don't know Papa but I'm scared." I replied the dwarves were put in barrels but Bard as I learned his name was let me stay aboard saying I was there to approve the fish and the barrels from the king himself.  Our love story was everywhere apparently and everyone knew of the lost lady Barawen.  As soon as we got to Bard's and the dwarves decided their weapons weren't good enough I laid there in pain. Bard's daughter's trying to care for me. They were leaving for the lonely mountain and I was staying there with Oin, Kili and Fili because they had decided to stay with me.  "I know you both wanted to see the mountain, you didn't have to stay with me." I said as the two boys helped me up.

"It's nothing Barawen, you need help and we will help you for Bilbo's sake." Fili said and I smiled. Suddenly the fever got worse. They carried me to Bard's house.

"No no more Dwarves." Bard said.

"Please it's Barawen." Bofur said. "She's sick. No one will help us." They revealed me almost a deathly white in Kili's arms. "She's very sick." They let us in but I knew if I didn't get elvish medicine soon. That I would die.
