I was dying I knew that and I hated it. I was sweating and beginning to feel the writhing pain as the orc pack came and then Legolas and his friend with hair as red as mine came and fought. She looked at me as Legolas was beginning to leave.
"Help her please!" Sigrid the oldest of Bard's girl's asked. Tauriel looked at me and then back to Legolas he nodded.
"Take her to my father as soon as possible." Was all he said before leaving. I was still growing pale and sweating the fever setting in. She ran out and ran back in holding kingsfoil. She ground it and put it into my leg cahnting the whole time. I was delirious.
"She will heal. I have to take her back with me." Tauriel said and she carried me to a horse. "Asforel to the mirkwood forests the palace of the king. As quickly as possible." She whispered to the horse in elvish and he galloped as quickly as possible it felt like time slowed on the ride as I was delirious. I rode into the forest almost collapsing an elf caught me.
"It's Lady Barawen!" They said in exclamation. One carried me.
"Take her to the king." Another said.
"Who brought you here this sick? Who healed you?" The one carrying me asked. I could barely speak.
"T-tauriel." I gasped and passed out. Blackness filled my vision and when I woke it was slowly and I heard a voice next to me.
"It's alright Bara, you'll be okay." The smooth voice said and placed a cloth with cool water on my forehead. My eyelids fluttered open.
"Thranduil?" I asked.
"It's alright my love you're safe and healed." He replied.
"I thought that I was going to die. She saved me. I felt the darkness closing in. I thought of you." I took his hand in mine.
"It's alright now and when you're healed we have a mission."He said.
"What mission?"I asked trying to sit up. Thranduil pushed me back down.
"Smaug has been slain and the gold sickness has taken Oakenshield. Bard the new Lord of Dale wishes to rebuild it with some of Erebor's gold but he won't give it to him."
"Then we go in with an army we'll fight and take back what we deserve."
"That's the Barawen I remember."
"It's funny, I gained my memories back in my delirium. I know how passionate we were for each other and I still want to marry you."
"I'm glad and as soon as all of this is over we shall be wed."
"Okay."
"Rest now my love." Sleep drifted over me but I scared of what was to come and was my papa okay? What would Thorin become and would he hurt him? I needed to stand with Thranduil and keep my Papa safe. He was going to go back to the Shire when this was over and I would save him. I would make sure of that. I fell asleep in my bed and felt Thranduil's arms wrap around me I smiled and slept soundly for what was the first night in ages.
