A Week After Prom

Even after a week Zoey and Lola had a hard time wrapping their heads around the idea of Quinn dating Logan Resse.

It was worse when they told the guys about it.

Michael couldn't stop laughing and Chase kept complaining about missing too much while he was away in London.

"Uh, Hey Zoey." James said awkwardly as he walked past them.

Zoey looked up from the couch and knocked Chase's arm off her shoulders making him frown. "Hey, James."

Jame paused in his steps and walked back a bit so she could see him when he said what he had to say to her. "You don't have to feel guilty. I heard all the Chase stories, even the ones about you and him, from Michael when we started dating. I tried to win you over anyway, but I guess you two were just meant to be."

Zoey gave him a small smile and Chase stopped glaring at him. She put Chase's arm back around her and snuggled into his side. "I guess we were."

Lola saw the pained look on James' face and decided to change the subject. "Hey, did you know Quinn and Logan are dating?!" She asked.

Michael chuckled. "Stop telling that joke! You are killing me, you guys!"

James chuckled too.

"I'm serious!" Lola yelled.

James nodded. "Oh I know you are, I'm just surprised it took you guys this long to figure it out. They've only been sneaking around for like the last six months."

"You knew?!" Zoey and Lola shouted at the same time. Micheal finally stopped laughing.

James shrugged. "Of course. They're not very good at hiding it."

"Why didn't you tell me?!" Zoey demanded.

James shrugged again. "I thought you knew or at least suspected it. Like I said they're not very good at hiding it. Quinn defending Logan at lunch then sharing smiles, the restaurant, Logan's jealous outburst about Mark not being Quinn's boyfriend anymore, how whenever we would hang out they would both just disappear or make an excuse to leave, it was pretty obvious they were dating each other."

"Huh." Zoey and Lola realized that they should have realized it sooner.

Vince walked into the room and over to his girlfriend. "Hey, baby." He leaned in for a kiss, but she turned and snapped.

"Did you know Quinn and Logan were dating?!"

Vince jerked his head back so it wouldn't smack hers and laughed. "Was it supposed to be secret?"

"You knew too?!"

Vince gave her a look. "Get close enough to Logan and you smell Quinn's perfume. Get close enough to Quinn and you smell Logan's hair gel. Kind of obvious."

"Huh." Zoey and Lola made the same sound again. "Just... Huh."

Quinn and Logan walked into the room holding hands, now that people knew they didn't care.

"Congrats on the obvious, guys!" Vince exclaimed.

They smiled and walked off to make out some more before sitting with their annoying friends.

James scoffed. "And the most obvious. Logan has calmed down a bit."

"Yeah, he even forgave me." Vince stated. "By the way, Chase, I'm really sorry. I was out of line, but I'm better now."

Chase smiled and nodded. "I know, Zoey told me. She also told me you are dating our Lola so take care of her."
