~Char's POV~
Hazey and I are on the line right now checking in our luggage in the airport as Ms. A (Hazey's mom) is on the phone, probably with the hospital she works at.She's a really hardworking and busy woman...but at least she makes time for Haze unlike my mom.
You've probably guessed by now that my mom is never around. She practically lives in the hospital and I know, I know she's only working to provide for me and my brothers but is it worth losing quality time with us?
Who am I kidding, who would want to spend time with me?
The only one who's stuck by my side longer than a week is my little Hazey bear and my four 10 year old brothers (who are quadruplets if you didn't know and are currently staying at my nana's while I'm at vacation so don't worry they aren't home alone)
It's been me, my brothers and her versus the world for as long as I can recall.
I never met my biological dad because he left my mom one year after my mom gave birth to me and he was never ever at home so I never really had a father figure at home. After a few years my mom got remarried and had my brothers (Aiden, Jaiden, Maisen spelt with an 'e' not 'o' and Caiden). Then my step dad died a few years after their birth and my mom decided luck wasn't on her side when it came to relationships. But she had to be strong for us and for the boys so she pulled through and hid her grief, I think that's what wrong, she should let it out and let go of that grief. Keeping it bottled in would only make it worst for her.
It's very similar to what Haze is going through. My mom hides her grief with work and Haze hides hers with well her life. And strangely enough I want to help them both, I want to see them truly happy again.
So anyway my dad left me one year after my birth....see, even when I can't even talk I drive people away. It's just my nature. He didn't even bother to fight for me. He just left.
I mean, yes I was popular at high school but that isn't the type of company I'm talking about. I'm not talking about the casual girl at the hallway that exchange hi's with me or the cute boy who smiles at me in class.
I'm talking about what me and Haze have. We're practically sisters.
We are sisters. I'm glad she's in my life.
Oh! We're finally at the start of the line and we're up next. We start walking towards the lady who waved us over with a very very dramatic and wide grin..gosh, what is she so happy about? It's too early in the morning to be that happy...
"OMG, I think I just got blinded from her grin" I whisper to Haze beside me and she turns to face me with a smirk
"Story of my life...everyday....when I see you" Haze says smirking at me and laughing at my expression which is currently my mouth hanging open as I dramatically place my hand on my chest.
Gosh, if that's what I actually look like everyday slap that grin off my face.
We checked in our bags and walk over to Ms. A who's done with her phone call and waiting patiently for us.
She then looks at Haze and says "Sweetie, that was the hospital, they need me in earlier than usual today. I have to go"
Haze looks unaffected by this looking like she was expecting it to happen.
"It's okay mom, you can go, I'll miss you" Haze says to her mom as they give each other a hug.
Soon it's my turn for a hug and soon Ms. A is wrapping me in a warm loving hug a mother would usually give her daughter. I think we've established by now that she treats me like her own daughter. Jeez she even stole Haze's waffles for me...I love that woman.
