[Third Person]
She had never told anyone her secret. This deep dark secret she kept to herself. No one would understand.
So why on earth is she telling a guy, who she barely knew?
"Wait... I thought-"
"Bobby wasn't my first... No. But when he realized that, he freaked out. And then after we slept together, I told him about it. And it ruined us even more."
Justin was shocked. How could ask do such a thing? And to his own daughter.
"Y-your dad... Raped y-you?" He says in disbelief.
"H-he wasn't my real dad... My mom married him after my real dad died of a heart attack." She sniffles.
She curls into a ball, bringing her knees to her chest.
"I-is that why... Y-you take pills?" He asks.
She nods silently.
Justin's heart broke even more. How could someone so beautiful on the outside be so broken on the insides.
There's more than meets the eye.
Such a true statement.
"Karina... I-I know y-you've been t-through a-a lot. B-but please... Don't do t-this a-again." He sobs.
"I'm not making any promises." She mumbles under her breath.
Out of no where, he sits beside her, grabbing her by her shoulders.
"Please... Promise me. Promise you won't do this again." He says.
Karina whimpers and sobs in his grasp as he shakes her.
"Promise me, Karina!" He yells through his sobs.
"Okay!" Karina cries out. "Okay. I-I promise."
He stares at her, her eyes scared, her hands close to her chest as she sobbed. This wasn't the vacation he imagined. This was a disaster.
"I-I'm s-sorry." He stammers, rubbing her shoulders.
"D-don't apologize to me." She says. "I-I needed someone t-to s-shake some sense into me."
A sad smile is placed on his lips just a brief moment.
"You should rest. I-I need to call your mom and-"
"No!" She cuts him off, startling him.
"P-please... D-don't tell her anything. I-I don't want h-her to w-worry." She sobs.
"Okay. Okay. I won't say anything. For now. But you need to rest." He warns. She nods laying back in the bed.
He kisses her forehead, rubbing it after.
"He's right you know." She says curling up to face Justin.
"Who?"
"The doctor. I-it's very obvious how much you l-love me." She sniffles.
His heart skips a beat. Hearing her say that meant something to him. But he couldn't understand what at the moment.
"I-I do." He whispers.
"I-I know. I-I heard you."
His eyes widen. "H-heard m-me what?"
"A-after y-you sang t-to me... I heard you say y-you l-loved me t-too."
She heard him? He thought she was asleep.
"O-oh..." He squeaks.
"D-did you mean it?" She asks.
He bites his bottom lip. "Y-yes... I-I did."
She sighs, a sob leaving her lips.
"Don't cry baby girl. Just rest, okay?"
She sniffles nodding her head. He pulls the covers from under her, gently laying them over her body.
"Sweet dreams." He coos kissing her temple before leaving her alone.
He walks into the bathroom, getting ready to shower himself. He really need to relax.
Today was a rough day.
