Emery sat in her room in her pajamas. All cozied up in her bed while reading a book. She couldn't concentrate on the book, she was thinking about the club. All she could think about was Jace ripping the redhead from her with such rage. She had never seen Jace so angery. All she could think about was him, was Jace.

Maybe she should go talk to him. Maybe he was mad at her though. He has been fine since she had gotten back but she was sure he was mad that she left. She should have been mad if he left.

Emery sighed before getting up from her bed and making her way to Jace's room. She stood outside his door for a moment. Was this really a good idea? Did he even want her to come a see him? What if he was mad at her but chose to take it out on the guy instead?

So she knocked.

"Come in." Jace's mumbled voice said. She pushed to door open, he was shirtless like alright always, working out. His arms making contact with the practice dummy. He looked at her, then grabbed his shirt from the arm of his couch. Emery watched him, Jace was made of pure muscle and wasn't shy about it either. "Hi." He smiled at her, she was surprised he was so confident after what had happened.

"I wanted to-" She stopped. Truth was she wasn't sure why she had come to talk to him. "I wanted to come talk to you." Yeah that was a safe sentence. Talk to him about a lot of things. About what he had done tonight and why. About the truth about her leaving. About what had happened to her while she was gone. Jace chuckled lightly.

"Oh yeah?"

"Yeah." Emery said quietly, stepping into his room. It was almost the same. His bed and the table and the couch were all in the same spot. But some of his decorations, per say, were different. His workout equipment had been moved, drapes changed. And there were pictures on the wall now. Pictures of him and his friends.

"Look Jace about tonight-"

"I would prefer not to talk about that." Jace interrupted. Emery placed her hands on her hips. She had come all the way to his room, they were going to talk about this. Emery wanted to talk about it despite what he wanted.

"I would prefer if you didn't interrupt me." Jace smiled, running his hands thought his hair, then cocking his head to the side. "I was going to ask you why you did that." Emery told him. Jace nodded.

"Are you saying you didn't agree with what I did?" Jace asked, obviously changing the situation. Emery sighed.

"Jace please." She told him. He nodded, sitting on the couch. His elbows rested on his knees now. Jace really didn't want to talk about this. He didn't know how to tell her why he had done what he did. He didn't know how to tell her that he had become enraged when the guy touched her. Maybe it was jealousy or maybe it was just who he was.

"Guys just always touch-" He stopped. "Guys always do what they want and never ask if anything is alright." Emery nodded, sitting next to him in couch. "I'm sorry if I upset you but I'm not going to apologize for what I did." Jace never liked apologizing for his action, especially when he felt he was right. He knew he was right to step in, even if she could take care of herself.

"I wasn't going to ridicule you." Emery shook her head. Jace looked at her, he knew Clary would have told him what he did was wrong. Not even appreciating what he had done. "I was going to thank you." Jace nodded.

"Well," He mumbled quietly, "You're welcome." Jace smiled at her, she smiled back.

"Even though I am perfectly capable of taking care of myself." Emery teased nudging her shoulder into his. Jace let out a single chuckle, nodding. The two of them laughed, with their heads thrown back against the back of the couch.

Emery was glad that Jace had helped her. Despite it being a pig headed action of rage. She still didn't understand why he had done it but figured asking wasn't a good idea right now. Not while they were laughing. Not while they were happy.
