Your POV
"I have go to back to Norway."
"WHAT?!" Edd, Matt and I looked at Tord in disbelief while Tom took a swig of Smirnoff from the bottle.
"Why? Does it have to be now?" Edd asked as he stood up from couch where Tom and I were sitting with Matt sitting on the other couch. Tord sighed as he joined Edd in a hug then slipped away, letting at the ground.
"Something important came up and I'm needed back home," he spoke while glancing at me, "It involves (Y/N), too, but I'll have to speak with her about that later." Everyone glanced at me for a moment then turned back to Tord. I think I knew what he was talking about. Something I did while trying to run away from the Black Army. His two best soldiers must've heard the news and informed him. Took them a while if you ask me.
"That means I have to go with you, right?" I asked quietly as I looked away from Tord with a sigh. I knew going with him to the Red Army would stir up some issues, but it would be dangerous to our friends if I stayed here with them. Tord had the same thought.
"That's just it. I'm not sure if you should." He sighed. "We'll talk about this later," he said turning to Edd with a smile, "How about we have some fun before I leave?"
Timeskip to paintball:
We all decided to go to the Paintball Park! Well, I lied when I said I'd be alright playing with them. Honestly, just holding the paintball gun made a pit form in my stomach. Edd and Matt had to make sure that Tord didn't bring any real guns like he did the last time he played. Halfway into the game, I lost sight of all four of them while running through one of the mazes and decided to hide in one of the trees. After several minutes, I spotted Tord along with two other players from the opposite team a few feet from him. He was hiding, though none of them knew the other was there, so I took this chance to shoot the players of the opposing team, catching Tord's attention as he looked in my direction. I waved slightly them hopped out of the tree and rushed to him.
"Nice shot, (Y/N)," Tord said with a smirk as I sat down next to him in crowd of bushes, "That was a pretty long distance." I shrugged then tucked my knees to my chest, holding my gun close.
"I was taught at a young age," I spoke quietly, watching for movement through the leaves of the bushes, "You shouldn't be surprised considering that we went through similar childhoods." We grew silent for a moment till I spoke again, "Are you going to tell me what happened?"
"I was going to ask you the same thing," Tord replied, giving me a cautious look, "You're the one who destroyed an entire base of the Black Army." I sighed then pulled out the key that hung from around my neck.
"The machine was there, I had to," I spoke sternly as I gripped the key tightly, "Besides...I only did what was necessary...and I tried not to kill anyone this time." At the corner of my eye, I could see Tord staring at me, but I ignored it. Soon after, a horn went off, telling us that the game was over. I stood up and stretched, not noticing that my shirt and hoodie lifted with my arms, then looked to Tord who was...blushing?
"Tord." He shook slightly then quickly turned away, rubbing then back of his neck and clearing his throat.
"S-sorry. Let's go."
Timeskip to leaving ((I don't know?)):
"(Y/N), how did you not get hit?!" Edd said in awe while he pointed at me. I didn't notice either, until he said something. Tord, Tom and Matt looked surprised as well and I just shrugged.
"Guess I'm just that unnoticeable," I chuckled a bit then we all walked to Edd's car.
"Matt, where did you get that giant plush?" Tom asked as he gave Matt a weird look. Where did he find a giant teddy bear? ((*snickers* Gee, I wonder.)) When I looked at Tord, we locked eyes and he winked, making heat rise to my cheeks.
"Oh! I found it on the way out," Matt replied to Tom with a childish grin.
"It's going to take up an entire seat!" Edd spoke up as he gestured towards his car. Tom and Matt looked at each other then back to Edd, blankly.
"NOT IT!!" The two yelled as they both rushed to the car, Tom taking shotgun and Matt hopping in the backseat with his 'new friend' in the middle seat. Edd groaned, rolling his eyes then turned to Tord and me.
"Sorry, (Y/N), you'll have to sit on someone's lap."
"H-huh?" I gave him a nervous look, "W-wait, Edd, m-maybe I c-can just w-walk hom-"
"Honestly, she can sit on my lap, Edd," Tord spoke over me, "I need to get ready for tomorrow morning and I don't plan on wasting any time. Besides, it'll take hours for (Y/N) to walk home." I shivered when he took my hand and led me to the car. As he got into the empty backseat, I hesitated, unsure of what to do. Tord noticed and rolled his eyes as he pulled my onto his lap, closing the door in the process. I yelped, making everyone look at us, except for Matt because of the teddy bear being in the way. Tord smirked then rested his chin on my shoulder.
"So flustered, kitty~" He chuckled, wrapping his arms around my waist.
"I-it's n-not funny, T-Tord," I stuttered, shivering lightly. Despite my discomfort...the way he was holding me close to him...it made me feel safe. The fact that he was leaving worried me because I wasn't sure if I could keep myself calm without him- Wait a second, what the hell am I talking about?! Sure, he did help when ever something was getting to me, but... Suddenly, I felt Tord tug on me as he whispered in my ear.
"You're coming with me tomorrow," he spoke as if he were giving an order to a soldier, "Make sure you're ready for what's over there and only listen to me unless told otherwise." Strange...and unnerving. But, I understood what he meant. I sure everyone in the Red Army knows about me and won't be too kind on accepting me.
"How do you think they'll react when they find out I'm only 19?" I asked quietly as I leaned against him. He chuckled then started playing with my (h/c) hair.
"They may act a bit jealous. Or scared," he spoke softly, "Can't say I'm either of those." I felt him smile against my neck as I shivered. This feeling was new....unexpected coming from him...I don't even know if these feelings are true...
"Tord?"
"Hm?" He rested his chin on my shoulder as he closed his eyes.
"Why are you acting like this? Only around me.." I asked quietly for only him to hear. It became silent between us while the others were having their own conversations.
"Min dronning, I hardly call this an act." I froze for a moment as he held me closer to him. I felt as if I could just melt into his arms right then and there. 'His queen..?' I teared up a bit at the thought...he's joking...right?
((Min dronning = my queen. Hope you enjoyed this 1250 word chapter! >wO))
