Anthony's POV
"WHERE'S MY GIRLFRIEND?!?" I yelled, bursting through the hospital doors and running to the front desk. Oak and Daveed followed closely behind me. The rest of the cast hadn't arrived yet.
"Mr. Ramos?" I nodded and the nurse continued. "Come in. They brought her in five minutes ago. She lost a lot of blood on the way over." She led me through a door and down a hallway.
"Is she alive?" I asked.
"Yes but you have to understand, the bullet entered right below her hip and lodged in her right thigh." She explained as she temporally blocked me from entering the room that my girlfriend was in.
"Can I see her please?" I asked, desperately.
"We're doing everything we can, but the wound was already very bad when she arrived." I couldn't take it anymore. I shoved past the nurse and walked into Jas's room.
"Jasmine." I said, staring at my girlfriend's bandaged body. She seemed to be barely alive.
"Ant." She replied weakly. I ran to her side.
"I did exactly as you said Ant. I held my head up high." She said, sitting up slightly to talk to me. I pushed her lightly back down and grabbed her hand.
"I know I know. Shh. I know I know. Shh. I know. You did everything just right." I assured her, stroking her hair.
"Even before he got the gun. I was thinking of good times." She said. She remembered my advice.
"Shh. I know I know." I almost whispered, trying my best to get Jas to calm down.
"I was thinking about you." She said, smiling slightly.
"I know. Save your strength and stay alive." I replied desperately.
"NO!" Pippa yelled while running into the room, going to the over side of Jas's bed and leaning over her.
"Pippa." I said, acknowledging her presence while still staring at Jas. Her breaths seemed to be becoming shallower.
"Is she breathing? Is she going to survive this?" She said, her eyes darting from Jas's wound, to me, to the nurse at the door.
"Who did this, Anthony, did you know?" I placed my hand on Pippa's shoulder to calm her down. Tears rolled down my cheeks. Jas reached up and weakly wiped them away.
"Ant, Pip I-I-" Jas started.
"Shh honey." Pippa said. "Calm down. Count with me."
"Un, deux, trois, quarte, cinq, six, sept, huit, neuf." Pippa said quietly. Jas repeated the numbers. I continued to hold her hand.
"Good." Pippa said, her voice cracking slightly. "Un, deux, trois, quarte, cinq, six, sept, huit, neuf."
Around the time Pippa said "six", I felt Jas's hand go limp. The steady beep of the heart monitor became a long, loud tone.
"Sept, huit, neuf." Pippa repeated quietly. "Sept, huit."
She screamed in anguish and I felt even more tears steam down my face as I kissed Jas's forehead. Pippa and I were quickly ushered out of the room.
I wanted to end this chapter here but I don't like making chapters under 1000 words so...
The cast looked expectantly at Pippa and I when we arrived in the waiting room. Their hopes were quickly diminished when they saw our tear-stained cheeks and mournful expressions.
We sat in a saddened silence for a few minutes before we managed to muster up enough strength to explain what happened.
"She flatlined." Pippa said quietly. "Her heart just stopped." I rested my head in my hands and cried silently.
