"Samantha?" Hillary placed her hand on my shoulder.

"Oh, sorry. I was just-"

"Mesmerized?" Hillary stated with one of her eye brows slightly raised.

"Well! We really try!" Amanda replied.

"Good job Amanda, Keep my regards to your crew Captain. We better go now, I still have to show Samantha a lot of Ellington." Hillary said.

"Okay Ms. Taylor! A few reminders from your Vice President, I know you're a philocalist, but you better not mix work with mischief and-"

"Goodbye Amanda!" Hillary exclaimed.

"I'm just teasing, hahaha! See you!" Amanda replied. "You too Samantha, be careful! Kidding!" Amanda chuckled and went back in the dance club's room.

"Well, I guess we better end here. Let's continue the tour tomorrow. I'll bring you to the library, it's the only place on campus that I haven't shown you yet." Hillary stated.

"I thought you said you still had to show me a lot of Ellington?" I asked Hillary looking a bit confused.

She played with a portion of my hair a little. "Nah, I just said that because Amanda has the tendency to talk too much." Hillary giggled. "You can go home now. I still have to go back to my council and fix a few details needed for next week's event.. unless you want to come with me of course." Hillary winked.

I felt a little bit antsy. I really didn't know why. Before I could think of saying anything, someone's phone started ringing.

"Hold on, I think that was mine. Hello?" Hillary answered her phone. "Oh right, Thanks for reminding me about that.."

Just as Hillary was talking to someone on the phone, I received a text message from Sheryl.

Sheryl to Samantha:

"Ms. Samantha, Mr. and Mrs. Del Rey wanted me to inform you that they will be the one to pick you up later for dinner. They already sent your driver home, and will be arriving at 5:00 pm."

"Dinner? With my parents?" I asked myself in confusion.

"Who's that you're texting?" Hillary said as she sneaked behind me and scanned through Sheryl's text.

"Just my mom's assistant. She just told me something, weird." I answered. "But it's nothing!" I quickly added.

"Well, it seems like you have an hour to spare. You should come with me. Hillary smirked. Don't worry, we're not going to continue the tour, We'll have more fun than that."

"Oh, I couldn't, You don't have to, really! I-"

"I insist." She held my left hand and grabbed me outside. "Besides, I'm already comfortable with you. You're my responsibility." Hillary winked. We walked to parking lot in front of Ellington and towards a silver 2014 C-Class Mercedes Benz.

We got up in the car and drove to Glamiera Mall. It's the closest mall to our school, although it's still a 20 minute drive on moderate traffic. Hillary did pretty much all of the talking on our way to the mall, I just did most of the listening part. We made our way to Bakery Vanilla as soon as we arrived, and she made a huge order of cupcakes. She even made me choose some of the flavors. We planned to go back to school right after, but unfortunately, we got caught by the heavy traffic on the way.

I was just quiet during the ride back. Many thoughts were on my head. Like, since when did my parents ask me to have dinner with them? Especially On a school day? Right after vacation? We rarely even eat dinner together, and they never really picked me up from school before. I also hope that Hillary didn't notice that I felt antsy when she asked me to accompany her. I wasn't even sure why I did. Also, what did Amanda ask me to be careful? Not that I'm making a big deal out of it, but it was a joke, right? I couldn't help but think of the possibilities that would her say that, and if I should be making a big deal out of it in the first place. Then, a while ago.. the girl, in the dance club's room.

"It's so traffic! How unfortunate, we're almost at Ellington." Hillary started talking again. She looked at me to initiate a conversation, one that probably involves me participating.

"So, where did you graduate highschool Samantha?" Hillary asked.

"Leighton Academy." I answered politely.

"Really?" She said. "So, does that mean it's your first time to study in a non co-ed school or not?" Hillary asked.

"Yes, actually, I've studied at Leighton Academy since Preschool." I answered.

"I'm guessing you have a boyfriend." Hillary looked in front of the road and forwarded a little.

"No, at least not anymore. I've been single for almost three months now." I admitted. "What about you, do you have a boyfriend? If I may ask?" I asked Hillary with a hint of hesitation.

"Do you really want to go there?" Hillary turned her head towards me with one of her eye brows raised.

"Well, I'm not sure but the Dean said I could ask you anything." I grinned.

Hillary laughed a little." Since the question's out, I might as well answer it."

"So do you have a boyfriend?" I asked her again.

"I do." Hillary stated with a smile on her face, that seconds after turned into laughter.

"Uhm.." I uttered looking at her with an unsure smile on my face.

"I'm kidding Samantha. I don't. I've never had one, and I probably never will have one." Hillary stated.

"Never had? Never will?" I asked her in confusion. "You've got to be joking, I mean there's no way you've never been with someone. You're not some kind of a man hater, are you?" I added.

Hillary laughed even harder than the first time. "I never said that I've never been with anyone." Hillary stated. "And I'm certainly not a man hater." She continued to giggle.

I looked at her in shock and tried to not over do my reaction. "Ohh, you're.."

"I am a lesbian." Hillary confessed." I thought you figured it out already." She giggled.

"Oh.. I'm sorry, I just.. well, It's just that-" I informed her.

"You're not homophobic, are you?" Hillary asked.

"Of course not. I kind of just, didn't expect it, I guess?" I admitted.

"Why? Because I look as girly as you do?" She giggled, and the traffic started to go away.

"No. I-never mind." I just looked out of the car window hidden in my shame.

"It's okay, don't worry about it. I actually thought you were one too." She admitted.

"Me? A... lesbian? Why would you think that..?"

"Just a vibe." Hillary looked at me, pulled over and went out of the car. I was left in the car for a short amount of time until I heard someone knock on the window. "Samantha, we're here. You coming?" I could read her lips from the other side of the window. I nodded and immediately went out of the car.

"Hillary!" A voice from afar shouted.

She turned around and waved at the person who shouted her name then turned towards me again. "I've got to go. Thanks for accompanying me, Samantha. It was nice getting to know you. You're really exciting to talk to." Hillary slowly ran her fingers through my hair and moved her face a little bit closer to mine. "Hope you feel the same way." Hillary added. "See you." Hillary winked and went off.
