"Wha' do ya mean hes gone?! What did you do with my brother?!"

Jo woke up to Daryl hollering just outside her tent. She rolled her eyes at the commotion, so early in the damn morning. She was not a morning person and hated being interrupted from the blissful sleep she got oh so little of.

Jo sighed as she hoisted herself up and out of her comfortable sleeping bag. Changing into a pair of torn jeans, rock n' roll t-shirt, tennis shoes. Jo threw her hair up into a messy bun and hopped out of her tent, zipping it closed behind her.

When she walked over to the fire, that was smoldering out, Daryl was still was making a ruckus. She took a seat on a log and kept out of the way. She had only been with the group for a couple days now and didn't want to get into their business.

"You best le' me go before I bea' your ass, dickbag!"

"Don't think thats a good idea, pal." The man, who Jo learned to be Rick, had Daryl in a strong choke hold. Daryl was bucking and twisting with all his strength, but could not get away from Rick. His face started to turn red and his strength diminished.

"Ch-choke holds i-illegal, asswipe." Daryl managed to cough out at Rick.

"Well, you can file a complaint with management, then."

Seeing that no one was going to stop this ridiculous scuffle, Jo darted up and ran over to the idiots fighting. "He'll calm down if you just stop choking him! He is gonna pass the fuck out, then there won't be any talkin'!" She yelled at Rick. She then bent down face to face with Daryl and put a hand on his right should gently. "Right, Daryl?"

Daryl glared at her and shrugged her hand off. "F-ine."

"Good, now let him go, dick." Jo said, looking up at Rick.

Rick released Daryl and he fell face first to the ground. He quickly got to his feet and brushed the dirt off his face. Turning to Jo his glared softened a little, but she knew he didn't like that she had to help him out of the uncomfortable situation.

"You're welcome." Jo sing-songed.

"Yeah, whatever."

Jo just finished up washing dishes from the nights dinner. She got to know Carol a bit more while doing the chore. She liked her. Carol seemed very nice, but very obedient. Like she had no say in her relationship with her husband. Jo didn't like that at all and could tell he beat her when no one was around.

Jo dried her hands off and said goodnight to Carol as she headed towards her tent, for bed. She didn't get past the roaring fire when there was an ear piercing scream. She spun on the spot, losing her balance for a split second. Her eyes searched for the source of the scream and they landed on Amy. One of the sisters in the group.

A geek had sneaked up behind her and took a huge chunk out of her trapezoid. Without thinking, Jo sprinted towards Amy. Amy had a knife in her back pocket and Jo wrapped her arm around her to pluck the knife out. She then plunged the knife into the geek's head. Blood squirted onto Jo's face, causing her to spit automatically, making sure nothing was in her mouth.

Both Amy and the geek fell to the ground, while Andrea, Amy's sister ran to her. She screeched and screamed. A waterfall falling from her eyes. Jo's heart clenched as she looked at the sisters. She wanted to stay with Andrea, to make sure she would be alright. But she heard, yet another scream. This time it was Carol letting a scream escape from her throat. She was bent over her husband. The geek that killed him was already put down, due to an arrow sticking out of its head. Jo was shocked. She didn't really have to deal with loss. She was a loner and now she remembered why.
