Jo's plan was simple. She would go to the room with the others girls and wait for Negan to say goodnight. Then go back to her room and wait til everyone was asleep. If she could get Darcie, she would. But if not she would come back for her when she found help. She had to.

Once it was all clear she would sneak downstairs and out to the weak point in the fence and shove her way through, she was small enough to make that work.

With her plan set in her mind, Jo made her way down to the room she was thrown into earlier. Putting herself into a chair at the furthest part of the room, she waited. Girl after girl finally started entering the room, also waiting for Negan's goodnight.

About an hour or so passed before they heard shuffling and crying in the hallway. Negan made his way to the door with a terrified looking Darcie being held at the scruff of her neck. His face was of pure hatred. He threw Darcie into the room and she landed on her hands and knees. Blood dripped from her mouth onto the floor. Everyone knew not to aid her until Negan had left, so no one moved.

"This lil bitch might have made this the worst weddin' night of my whole damn life!" Negan hollered. "Wouldn' do a muther fuckin' thing I told her to. Now either she has a HUGE pair of lady balls, or she has got to be the stupidest muther fucker in here! I'm thinkin' its the ladder", he said as he rolled back onto his heels, while swinging his bat onto his shoulder.

"You!", he said as he pointed the bat right at Jo. She tried not to make eye contact, but afraid of the consequences in doing so, she looked right into those horrible eyes.

Happy with the fear he saw in Jo's eyes, he continued. "You better do better than her in a few days. I won' give up so easily on you. You will obey, my dear. Or you will fucking regret it." He then winked at her, spun on his heel and left.

All the girls looked at Jo in horror, then seemed to remember that Darcie needed help. Most of them jumped up and hovered over the girl whimpering on the floor. "I-I'm ok.. J-Jo, I n-need Jo", she pleaded to the girls. Realizing she was more mentally scarred than physically, they gave the girl some space.

Jo got out of her chair and made her way over to her friend. She bent down and took Darcie's pale, sweaty face in the palms of her hands. Pulling her face up to meet hers, she saw the bruises and blood on her mouth. A physical wave of anger shot through Jo and made Darcie jump. "Its ok, you won't have to deal with that again. I'm getting us out of here, tonight," Jo whispered.

Darcie just blinked her brown eyes in acknowledgement. The fear left her face and was slowly replaced with the same hope that ran through Jo's body just earlier.

Jo then let go of the girl's face and grabbed hershaking hands. She stood her up and walked her to her room. "Get the necessities together in a bag and wait for me ok?" Darcie nodded and rushed into her room to get ready for their escape.

Jo waited two hours after the normal bedtime just to make sure it was all clear. She grabbed her bag and headed over to Darcie's room. She quietly opened the door and was met with Darcie's eyes. She was ready. Jo gave her a lets go look and put a finger up to her lips. Darcie nodded again.

The two soundlessly made their way to the end of the hall and down the stairs to the ground floor. So far, so good, Jo thought to herself. She wanted to make sure she seemed confident to her frightened friend behind her, so she turned around and gave her a small smile. Darcie returned it. They came up to the door that would lead them out to the parking lot. Jo looked around one more time before opening the door, to make sure the coast was clear. Perfect, this night was on their side, no one in sight. Jo took this chance to open the door as silently as she could. It creaked slightly, which threw her into freak out for a second. She panicked, grabbed Darcie's arm and pulled her through.

The only thing stopping them from falling to the floor, with the force was the railing they fell into. "Wha-", Darcie started, but Jo reached over and covered Darcie's mouth with her hand. She needed to make sure she didn't hear anything. When she thought no one heard, she let Darcie go. "What on earth was that for?", Darcie whispered. "I'm sorry, I got a little worried about the door making too much noise and wanted to get out", Jo blurted out. Darcie nodded in understanding.

Jo looked around the fence and spotted their escape. She grabbed Darcie's hand and started leading her towards the weak point in the fence. They squatted near the opening and shoved their backpacks through, next was Darcie. It was a tight squeeze but she could still do it. Once she was on the other side a smile spread across both of their faces. It was finally Jo's turn. She could taste freedom and oh it tasted so good. She had a glimpse of being reunited with her family someway. Glenn, Rick and Daryls' faces flew into her mind.

Jo started to bend her head down and put it through the opening. On the other side she met Darcie's eyes. She wasn't smiling anymore, she was backing up and gasping for air.

It happened all too fast. Jo felt a hand reach through the hole her head was in and wrap its fingers in her hair. Once the hand had a good grasp, her head was yanked with such force backward, Jo screamed in pain. "RUN!", she screamed with all her might at Darcie. Darcie listened, and took off towards the walkers as fast as her legs would take her. She had to reach the forest. She had to get away and find help. She had to, Jo would do it for her.

Last Jo saw of Darcie was her back and flowing brown hair, she was almost to the forest when Jo was spun around by her hair and thrown harshly to the ground. Her head hit the concrete and stars exploded across her vision. She was picked up by her hair again and dragged across the ground. Jo whimpered as her stomach and legs were torn up by the rough cement. When she was dropped to the floor again, she didn't move. She closed her eyes and saw her friends disappear from her mind. Like smoke they were gone. But at least Darcie got out.

She could here several footsteps and snickering of the men around her. Jo didn't dare get up and run. There was no escape now, she had to deal with what would happen next.

Clap! Clap! Clap! "Well, well, well."
