I woke up to the smell of bacon and eggs, meaning it was morning already. I slowly sit up on my bed stretching and yawning.

Feeling awake I get up, slipping my house shoes on and head downstairs to eat. You're probably wondering why I'm not suffering from a hangover? Well that's because I don't get them, which is great for me since I won't have to worry about looking or acting like most people who do get them.

I sit in my usual spot and begin eating.

Once finished I wash my plate and silverware and head back to my room to get ready for church which begins in 30 minutes. I'm also glad I don't get hangovers, because that would make me and my mom look bad at church if I was.

I walk out of my room, but not without doing my normal routine which was tidying up afterwards. Once satisfied I head downstairs, locking the front door behind me and get in the car to go.

We arrive with 10 minutes to spare. My mom took that chance to walk away and visit with people, leaving me by myself. I looked around trying to find friends to talk to, but changed my mind when I noticed most of the kids, who were at the party, were all hung over. How do I know? Well they all looked like a hot mess and they were wearing sunglasses even though we were inside.

*fast forward 35 minutes*

Church was halfway over at this point. The preacher was talking about the Bible and told everyone to bow there heads, while he prayed, which we all did.

The room was quiet, you could hear nothing, but his praying and the sounds of birds chirping outside. But all that was interrupted when a loud noise disturbed the praying. Everyone lifted there heads mumbling and turning there heads to find the noise. I too was doing the same thing, curious on where it was coming from.

The banging noise started again and this time we knew it was coming from the doors.

We all turned and kept watch at the door, wondering who it was making the loud noise and disturbing the session.

Then without warning the church doors flung open and I immediately realized who it was. It was the same girl who threw up on my shoes.

I glared at her as she came stumbling in the church area, "sorry for the interruption, I had a hard time opening the door." No one said anything. She closed the doors and continued walking down the isle my glaring eyes still on her,"People should really put a sign up saying "pull to open door" or something like this would happen again." I then look at her baffled, I mentally slap myself, is she serious? You can obviously tell you have to pull to open the door since there's handles on it to pull it open.

She continues down the long isle, giving me enough time to study her. I noticed she was wearing a pair of black skinny jeans, black and white vans and a white t-shirt that says, tacos are life on it. She walks past my row and sits right in front of me next to an older couple who was glaring at her angrily, which she ignores with a smile. I'm assuming those are her parents.

Once she was situated in her spot the preacher clears his voice,"we'll look into getting a sign." He smiles awkwardly. "Now where were we oh yes-." I zone out, still staring at the girl. She has beautiful blonde wavey hair and she is very pretty. But how can someone like her pretty much look like a fool in front of people at church and sit down without a care in the world? If it were me I would've been extremely embarrassed.

Church is finally over and I'm standing there while my mom talks to other parents about last night. If only she could talk to me.

I scan around the room, until my eyes catch the girls. I look at my mom who's still talking and walk towards her.

She was leaning against the wall and messing with her phone. I walk up to her with my hands behind my back and stop in front of her, but she doesn't notice me. I clear my voice, but she still doesn't look up. "Hello." I finally say.

She looks up at me eyes wide and drops her phone. She quickly picks it up and smiles, "is this a dream?" I look at her confused, "Excuse me?"

"Sorry its just that yesterday, while I was drunk at a party, I could've sworn I saw a beautiful angel, but now I know it was real since you're standing in front of me." I blush a little at her comment, but quickly brush it aside.

"Yeah, about last night, I wanted to ask you something?"

She continues smiling at me, "Ask away angel." I blush again.

I take a deep breath, "Well I don't know if you remember, but last night you threw up on my new shoes and now they're ruined, so because of you i need a new pair."

She looks at me thinking,"so you're pretty much saying, since I ruined them I need to pay for them?" I nod my head agreeing with her. I'm glad we're on the same page.

She continues thinking then looks at me,"what sizes do you wear?" "8's," I respond. She smiles again bends down and starts untying her shoes and takes them off and hands them to me.

"They're probably not the same brand you had, but since I ruined my angels shoes the least I can do is give you mine. They're new by the way." I stand there shocked not saying a single word, is she really giving me her shoes she was wearing? And did she just call me her angel?! "I don't think I can take these." I say trying to hand back her shoes but she refuses.

"It's fine don't worry about it. I didn't even like them anyways and besides I like walking around barefoot," she says smiling. "Thanks." I said not able to think of anything else.

"No problem." She says smiling and begins to walk away. "My names Valerie, by the way." I blurted out, not sure why I said it, but it made her stop. She turns around smirking, "You have a beautiful name, I blush again. "I'm Blaze, Blaze Jackson." Hmm, Blaze never heard that name around here before. She checked the time and looked at me, "I wish I could talk longer, but I got to go, I'll see you around." She waves bye and walks away.

I watch her leave until she's out of sight, "What a strange girl." I say to myself, still holding the shoes she gave me.
