(Valerie's POV)
After that talk with my mom and getting a good 6 hours of sleep, I couldn't help, but feel somewhat relieved about everything. My moms right the only thing I can do to get over the problem is to take a break from Blaze..... a long break.
I walked out of the bathroom from a nice relaxing shower then walked to my dresser and closet to pick out an outfit to wear.
I ended up putting on a nice pair of black non torn skinny jeans and a sweater along with a pair of white converses. Not the ones from that party though.
Once I was ready I walked to my bed fixing it, cleaned up my room then grabbed my phone and bag and headed downstairs for breakfast.
"Good morning mom." I said to her as she was cooking, but of course she didn't hear me. Maybe I wasn't loud enough. "Umm good morning." I said a second time, making sure I said it loud enough to where I think she heard me.
She perked up her head and turned to face me. "Sorry bad habit." She said smiling apologetically. "That's ok." I responded.
She began placing plates of food out on the table before sitting down herself.
We spent the next 10 minutes of our morning, before we had to leave, talking about any and everything. It felt really good.
I was helping her wash dishes when I heard a honking noise outside. It has to be Jay.
"I have to go." I said as I finished up my last dish. My mom smiled, "have a good day at school." I waved by and got in Jays car.
"What no complaining this time?" She asked. I smiled at her, "nope." She turned the rest of her body to me, "what happened to the real Valerie, because you are so not her." I smiled, "just drive." "Ok but your telling me why your mood changed, while we head to school. But first we're going to Starbucks to get some coffee and something to eat. I'm starving." She backed out of my drive way and started the drive.

"Wow so much happened over your break." Jay said as she parked outside of Starbucks. "Yeah and most of it sucked."
"Well not all of it cause obviously your mom is talking to you again."
We got out of her car and walked inside, "True."
We walked to the counter and ordered our drinks then went and sat at a table, "so you heard nothing from Blaze, I'm assuming?" I sat back in my seat, "and I hope it stays like that, because I'm done with her." Jay smiled, "that's my girl, way to stay strong." Even though I don't feel like I am.
"Jay and Valentine, your drinks are ready." The barista hollered. "Of course they get one of our names wrong." Jay said as she got up to get our drinks. "One Carmel Frappe for me and one Vanilla Bean for Valentine." Jay joked as she placed our drinks down. "Very funny." I said taking my drink. "Umm where's our straws?" "Dang I forgot."
She then looked at me, "Can you go get them since I paid and got our drinks." I sighed, "I guess." I got up and walked to the counter grabbing two straws, but when I turned I was met with a guy, accidentally bumping into him.
"I'm so sorry." He said apologizing. "Are you ok?" I looked at him rubbing my head, "Yeah just a- It's you!" I said pointing at the same guy who tried to drug me at the party.
He immediately began apologizing, "Look I'm so sorry about-
"Don't come near me!" I warned causing a scene in the place. Jay noticed the commotion because she was by my side in seconds. "What's wrong did he hurt you?!"
"Almost. He tried drugging me at a party I went to with Blaze not to long ago." I said glaring at the guy. Jay put down her drink and began popping her knuckles, "look I don't want to fight." He said holding out his hands and slowly backed away. "He's right. Let's just go, but make sure he hasn't been near your cup." I said grabbing Jay and leading us outside.
She grabbed her cup, but not without pointing at her eyes then him and turned around as we walked outside.
"Gosh I can't believe he tried to even talk to you again." Jay said. We got to her car fixing to get in, but we were stopped when I noticed, Camren running towards us.
"Please wait, before you leave just let me explain what happened the other night." He said breathing heavily.
I stood on the passenger side, with the door open fixing to get in. Should I let him?
"No go away!" Jay yelled. He looked at her then back at me with pleading eyes, "Please."
Feeling curious and kinda bad for him I gave in. "Fine you have 5 minutes to explain."
He smiled, "thanks." He then rubbed his neck thinking. "Well I'll start off at the part where I was dancing with a pretty girl." He said smiling at me, giving me butterflies.
"After I headed to the kitchen to get us a drink I got caught up talking to a couple friends. I put down our cups, so they wouldn't get spilt and continued my conversation. I then noticed this guy was walking around putting things in people's drinks so I picked up ours and left, but I guess he already got to yours." He said looking at me.
"You really think I'm supposed to believe that?" I asked not really buying the story. "Yes. You have to trust me, I would never do anything like that to someone."
"Then explain why you where acting weird and dragging me away to some place?" I asked. "Because I noticed you weren't feeling well so I was gonna sit you down in an uncrowded place. I didn't mean to sound or act creepy."
"Well you were." "Look I'm really sorry, I should've told you when I was carrying you, but I thought it would've been better if I told you when your head was clear, but I couldn't since some girl started beating me up." I couldn't help but smile to myself when I remembered it was Blaze who did that.
"What are you laughing at me cause I got beat up by a girl." He said raising a brow. "Yes I am." I said bluntly. He blushed in embarrassment, "Yeah that was embarrassing."
"I bet." Jay butted in. "So do you forgive me?" He asked with pleading eyes again.
"I'll think about it and tell you when I do." I said getting into the car. He smiled, "so you plan on seeing me again?" He hollered.
I rolled down the window, "maybe." Jay started the car and began driving away as I rolled the window back up. But I couldn't help, but stare at him until he was out of view.
"Oh my gosh, Valerie I've never seen you flirt that much before."
I felt my heart race and cheeks warm up as we were headed to school, "I don't know what came over me."
"Well whatever happened, it sure worked because that guy was totally into you. Not to mention he is hot." She smiled.
I looked at Jay. "Yeah, but he also probably almost drugged me." I countered. "I have a good feeling what he said was the truth and if he was lying well I'll beat him up."
"That is if you don't fall in the process." I joked. "Very funny." I looked out the window staring at the view, with a smile on my face, making sure Jay doesn't see.
