(Valerie's POV)

Continued

What do I do?! What do I do?! I thought, trying to think of something, so I can stop Jay. I started yelling and hollering her name to stop her, but she didn't listen and kept running. How is no one hearing all of this, I thought to myself.

It's a good thing this hall was long, because she was only halfway to Blaze. I then looked at Blaze and noticed, she was just standing there without a care in the world, not budging or moving. It was like she was ready for whatever was coming for her.

"Here I come!" Jay yelled. Realizing that anything I was saying wasn't going to stop her, I took off running after her, but stopped and covered my mouth.

Jay was a few feet away from Blaze and tripped. She tripped? She not only tripped, but slid across the floor for who knows how long. I wanted to laugh so badly right there, but knew I couldn't.

"Oww! Val I'm hurt, I need help." Jay said whinning. I walked to her and knelt down by her and whispered, "this is what you get for trying to start a fight." She sighed and sat up on her butt,"Shut up."

"Are you ok, do you need help?" We both looked up and saw Blaze standing by us. "Not from you!" Jay snapped, while rubbing her head.

She ignored her and knelt down, she then looked at me, causing us to make eye contact, but I quickly averted my eyes.

She continued to help lift Jay up on her feet. "I said we didn't need your help!" She snapped again.

"I know you didn't, but I would've been a huge jerk if just walked away, leaving you face down on the floor," she said smirking. I glanced at Blaze smirking, then looked at her eyes and noticed something different about them.

"Well you helped, but your still a jerk, no an asshole, now leave!" Jay said glaring at Blaze. Blaze sighed and started to turn around and leave, but stopped and looked at us or just me," I'll see you later," I looked up, causing us to make eye contact for a second got giving me enough time to study her eyes, before she turned around and left. I knew I noticed something. Her eyes weren't full of joy and adventure like they used too. They looked empty, like her eyes had no emotion to them, but everything else did. Why was that, though?

"Can we go now. I have a huge headache and need to rest," I looked at Jay who was rubbing her temples, "you wouldn't have to if you weren't trying to be stupid."

She looked at me, mouth open," hey I was just trying to be a good friend and help you out." "And look where that led too," I said raising my brows. She smiled and turned away, "lets just go home already."

We got our things and loaded up in Jays car heading to my house. The whole ride there all I thought about was Blaze's eyes and how empty they were. My mind was flouded with questions, like Why is she acting the way she is? Why won't she talk to me anymore? Did something happen?

I then remembered what her brother told me the other day about her parents. But there's no way she would start acting like this since she already knew what happened to them, because the whole time I knew her she was nothing, but happy.

"Hey, we're here you can stop day dreaming now." I shook my head,"I wasn't daydreaming... just thinking." Jay looked at me glaring, " you better not have been thinking about Blaze." My eyes widened and I looked away, " what no.. I wasn't."

She just stared at me, then looked away. We went inside my house, straight to the kitchen, so Jay could find some food to snack on. I guess her headache is gone.

(Blaze's POV)

I'm sitting in class thinking about Val, why did I have to fall for her? Why can't my feelings go away? But then I thought, well maybe feeling this way towards her isn't so bad, but then I remembered the secret I found out and why I didn't want to fall for anyone, anymore, including her.

My thoughts were interrupted when I heard my name over the intercom, "Blaze Jackson report to the principles office."

I got up and grabbed my things walking down the isle to the door. The whole way their I heard nothing, but "ooings"and "she's in trouble again," but I ignored it and exited the classroom.

I continued my walk down the hall to the principles office wondering what I did. I don't think I've done anything wrong.... have I?

I turned the last corner to the office and stopped in my tracks. Standing in front of me was a beautiful angel, Valerie. I wanted to smile, but stopped myself from doing so.

So instead I was going to ask her why she was there, "Val," I started to say, but was interrupted by her friend, Jay, I think. I knew it didn't seem like Val to use the innercom without asking.

Jay came out of the office, yelling my name," Blaze you hurt my friend now I'm gonna hurt you!" She then took off running towards me.

I stood their not moving. I knew I could take her easily, but I hate pointless fighting and I would never want to hurt one of Valerie's friends. Especially in front of her. So instead I stood their waiting for whatever was coming for me. I had a feeling this was gonna happen to me sooner or later, because I hurt Val, so I was ready for this.

I stood their watching her running down the hall towards me, but got bored so I stole glances at Val, who waa yelling Jay's name telling her to stop, but she didn't listen.

I looked back at Jay who was still running, man this hall is long. She was nearly a few feet in front of me, but the sound of her running stopped.

The only thing you could hear was the sound of her body sliding across the floor. She tripped. I wanted to laugh, but didn't have the energy too. Well I guess I'm not gonna get beaten up today.

She continued laying their on the ground and started yelling for Val to come help her. Val walked quickly towards her to help her up.

Feeling bad I decided to help her up, but to no surprise she didn't want my help, but I helped her anyways.

I helped her up and made eye contact with Val a few times. I wanted to say something to her, but couldn't.

My mind went blank after that and all I could remember was turning around and walking the opposite directions from them.

The only thing my brain let me remember, when it went blank, was the painful truth about my parents. The real truth of what actually happened with my parents.
