Natsu's POV
"He looks shorter than I imagined." A man, known as Scorpio, stated. It seemed as though he was talking to Lucy, even though he was facing me. His eyes held a slight amusement to them, but everything else brought just the opposite.
I didn't really know to respond to that comment so I just looked to the blonde thug, who was behind Scorpio, for an answer.
"That's just cause he's slouching," She replied as she stood next to me and slapped me on the back. Harder than needed, by my standards.
Scorpio didn't really say anything and walked away with a quiet hum. In all honesty the guy scared me, well who didn't scare me on a regular basis? But this wasn't just an angry teacher or a bully, this was a gang leader. One of many very powerful people in this city. Though Lucy said he was friendly, his presence only intimidated me. I felt like cowering behind the blonde thug but I knew for a fact that, that wouldn't leave a very good impression on this guy.
The gang leader looked to his bodyguard, who was standing by the door, and gave him a nod. The man left the room without a word and so it was just us three: A confident, blonde thug, a scared racer, and a very powerful gang leader.
Scorpio turned around and stood in front of me. His piercing stare drilled into my eyes. They held no malice or ill will towards me but it still made me feel uncomfortable.
After a moment, the man smiled warmly and held out his hand. "Greetings, my name is Scorpio."
A little taken aback by this sudden turn of events, it took me a moment before I shook his hand. I gave him a weak smile, "Natsu Dragion..."
"Well Natsu Dragion, you're the first person Lucy has ever brought to my club. You must be pretty special."
At this moment Lucy suddenly butted in, "He's not that special."
"Lucy," Scorpio gave her a stern look. "is that any way to speak about a friend?" He didn't really give her a chance to respond before looking back at me. "Forgive my former pupil. She tends to speak before thinking."
Former pupil? I thought.
"I know what you mean," I smiled. His intimidating presence seemed to have all but disappeared and I was starting to feel very comfortable around him. He had a very calming atmosphere. Totally different to Lucy's tense and hot headed one.
"Hey!" Lucy exclaimed. "we didn't come here to bash me! We came here to talk."
"Ah, you're right," Scorpio responded. "Why don't we sit?" And so all three of us sat in some very fancy red chairs with a small rounded coffee table in the middle that had a bowl of fruit.
"So, Lucy told me that you received a call from someone asking about her?" Scorpio asked.
I nodded, "Yeah."
"And I take it the call can't be traced back?"
"Most likely," Lucy added, crossing her legs. She leaned back in her seat and folded her arms, acting a little angry. "And I think I know who it is too."
While looking to Lucy for more info on what exactly she just meant, I still caught the look Scorpio gave her. It was a quick glance, no more than half a second, but it was a look that said: "What are you doing?!"
Scorpio immediately began explaining before I could say a word in. "Lucy and I may believe that...a very powerful man may behind all of this."
"And who is he," I looked to the gang leader. Despite being scared about everything that's been happening to me these past few days (has it only been a few days?) I was all too eager to find out who threatened me and Lucy.
