Lucy's POV

I was unpleasantly jolted awake by my father barging in the room.

"Get up and get dressed," he ordered and walked back out leaving me in a groggy confused mess.

I quickly got up, not wanting to disappoint him, and got dressed. It occurred to me that I was never told what school I was going to, I didn't really feel like asking Mr. Grouch so I decided to go to the only school in the area that my old man didn't have to pay for me to attend.

It took me a few minutes to find it. I've never been to the same area as the school. But with a few nice people giving me directions I finally found it.

Edolas Lacrima Public High School.

I noticed that there wasn't a single person outside. I looked at the clock above the school doors and realized that it was past 8:00, meaning everyone was inside now. Great, first day and I'm late. Don't get me wrong, it's not that I'm scared of being stared at or anything but I wanted everyone to see just who was now attending their school. It's funny seeing people's faces full of surprise and fear. I get a kick out of it. Of course then I get annoyed quickly by all the staring and glare at them to stop.

I sucked in a breath and walked through one of the double doors. There was a wide open space that had stairs to my left leading up to the second floor. There was a wall that had large windows, the thick blue bars seemed to make up the frame of the windows. The window showed the other side to another hallway with blue lockers fitted into a wall but the middle of the wall opened to another hallway which had blue lockers on either side. Then at the end of that hallway there seemed to be a T intersection with a white brick wall. This entire school seemed to be themed in blue and white.

Man there's a lot of hallways.

To my right there was a large paned window that had a single door leading to a desk and a lady typing away at a computer. I figured that was the school office and so I walked inside.

"Excuse me," I said to the lady, in my nicest tone. She looked at me with annoyed brown eyes while she put a section of her brown hair behind one ear.

"Yes?" She replied. At closer inspection she looked to be well in her mid 40s. Grey hair was seen over brown and her eyes looked baggy and tired.

"I'm the new student here," I answered a little annoyed that this lady answered with such a tone.

The lady seemed to pick up on that tone and averted her eyes from my cold brown ones, "Oh, that's right. We were told that a new student would be here." She typed on her computer a bit and then looked at me. "Lucy Ashley, correct?"

I was taken off guard that my last name wasn't replaced wit my step dad's. But I quickly shook it off, no sense in thinking about that.

"Yep that's me," I said. Soon the printer started going and once it was done the lady pulled out a piece of paper and handed it to me.

"This is your class schedule," she explained. "I'll find someone who can show you around the place." She typed on the computer for a few minutes then went to the phone. "Yes I was wondering if you could send in the student council president......Alright.....thank you." She hung up and looked at me. "You're a senior, so the student council president is going to show you around for the day."

"Alright, whatever," I said. I took a seat on one of the chairs in the office and not a minute later the door opened to reveal a woman about my age standing tall and authoritative.
