You had run off many years ago to keep Damon safe, you ran of when he was still human over 130 years later you ended up in mystic falls where you found him, while watching him you could see he had begun a relationship with a young girl.
One night you saw him leaving the bar you followed him he turned around and there you were he was shocked
You had made him aware that you were in town you spoke about everything that had happened and he introduced you to all his friends
One night after a few drink Damon offered to walk you home which you accepted you got to the from porch and you both stop and stared awkwardly at each other you went to step forward
"Look Y/N I'm with Elena" Damon said unsure of himself
"Does this feel wrong?" You ask while stroking your finger through his hair and down his face.
He closes his eyes and takes your hand in his then opens them back up
"No it feel just right I'll be back I have to do something" in that moment he disappeared in to thin air.
