I went to one of the many buffet tables and got myself a few pieces of cheese and a Nutella sandwich. My mother understands my love for Nutella. So you don't have to.
Anyway, throughout the night, people kept looking at me and about 3 girls and a boy asked for my autograph. It was strange, but that's what happens when you want to be famous. When dinner finally came, we went to sit at my parents' ridiculously huge dining table which seats about 200 people. That's right, two hundred people. You didn't read wrong, my friend. I was naturally seated near my parents who are sitting at the very end of the square-type table, with my two sisters next to me, according to age so I was first, then Michelle, then Chuck.
The dinner was probably the most food I have ever seen in my entire life. This is the first time my mom went all out with this thing that she likes to do. We had two starters, which consisted of a weird soup and a plate of nachos, one main course which was this massive animal sitting in the middle of the table with a few side dishes, and we had two desserts. It might not sound like much, but to me it is. We usually had one of each course!
So anyway, I didn't eat my dessert because I don't like ice cream. And both desserts was something with ice cream. The second one was pancakes with ice cream and chocolate mousse for dressing. I wanted to be sick when I saw that. I ate some of the mousse which was delicious, of course.
At the end of he night I had enough food for two days, that's for sure. Afterwards we all went dancing in my parents' Ballroom which has a name, called the Dans. It means Dance in Afrikaans, one of mom's favorite languages in South Africa. Apparently the people originally spoke Dutch there, but it evolved into Afrikaans. It's awesome.
We danced for a few hours before everyone thanked my mom and left. I was the only one left in the house aside from my family.
"Where's your partner?" smiled my mom. Oh. I know what she's trying to do.
"Mom I'm tired. I have to go home, it's late." I told her tiredly. I'm sick of this. I can't get married yet, I'm 19!
She sighed and hugged me. Everyone hugged me, and Michelle went last. "You've got to tell me everything that happened at the premiere. I'm so curious!" she whispered. I nodded, smiled and left.
