Junior Year

Vanessa's POV
I walk into school with Carly. Then we all into the dance studio and stretch on the bar.

Mrs. Helswheel: All right dancers. For your first project you are going to be teaming up with a musician to create a song and dance together. This is a big part of your grade and if you fail I would prefer you to get out of this school. So here are the pairs.
Jax-Sasha
Alya-Carly
Miles-Vanessa
Bianca-Beckett
Ally-Jenna
Ben-John
So get to work. During music class and dance you will all be working together. Lunch is optional but with the amount of talent I've seen from all of you I would suggest it.

Miles: Hey. So I guess that we'll be working together. I'm Miles.

Vanessa: I'm Vanessa. So here is my phone number, 627-801-6690 so that we can meet and discuss the project.

Miles: Cool, do you want to work together at lunch too?

Vanessa: Yeah that would be fun.

Then Miles and I start talking about what we're going to do. We decided we would do a hip hop sort of dance with hip hop music too. Then Beckett pulls me aside because he wanted to talk to me.

Beckett: Hey, do you want to have lunch together?

Vanessa: I'm so sorry but I'm going to be working with Miles during lunch.

Beckett: So you're blowing me off for another guy?

Vanessa: What? No, we're just working on the project.

Beckett: Fine. I just don't like you with another guy.

Vanessa: Do you think that I like seeing you with another girl? We just have to trust each other, okay.

Beckett: Okay.

We kiss and then we both go back to our partners.

Carly's POV
Right now Alya and I are having some fun. She seems nice but I just can't believe that she did the song thing to Vanessa last year. I know that I can't ask her about it but Vanessa seems to be over it.

Alya: So Carly, do you want to work together at lunch?

Carly: Sure that would be awesome!

Alya: Cool.

Carly: By the way, my friends call me C.

Alya: Oh yeah, because you and V-Vanessa are best friends.

Carly: Yup.

It's weird how her first instinct is to call Vanessa V but then she corrects herself. I mean I think I'm going to talk to V about her forgiving Alya.

At Lunch
Vanessa's POV
Miles and I meet up to work on the project. Then I see Sasha, Jax, Jenna, Beckett, Bianca, Carly, and Alya. They all walk over to our table.

Jax: Hey guys, want to do some partner bonding?

Everyone: I'm in.

Jax: Sweet, let's play truth or dare!

Alya: Okay, who goes first!

Carly: I'll go! Jax, truth or dare?

Jax: Dare!

Carly: Okay, I dare you to dance on this table right now and yell I'm Mary Poppins.

Jax: Are you kidding! That's nothing.

Jax stands up on the table and starts dancing then screams I'm Mary Poppins. Everyone starts laughing.

Jax: Done! Now Alya, truth or dare?

Alya: Truth.

Jax: Who is your boyfriend?

Miles: Come on man we already know this!

Alya: Miles.

They both kiss and then Jenna coughs to pull them away.

Alya: Okay, now Vanessa. Truth or Dare?

Vanessa: Truth.

I say playing it safe because I know how crazy the dares are.

Alya: Who was your first kiss?

Oh no. I look at Beckett and he actually seems intrigued by this question.

Vanessa: Okay but before I say it, Beckett do you promise not to get mad?

Beckett: That depends. But just tell us come on it can't be that bad.

Vanessa: Well here it goes, Sasha.

I look at everyone's expressions and they are shocked. Except of course Sasha, Jenna, and Carly.

Beckett: What!? You kissed my girlfriend!?

Beckett says as he is looking at Sasha and he seems very angry.

Sasha: It didn't mean anything. I mean I was just caught in the moment and I kissed her.

Beckett: Why was there even a moment to begin with!?

Vanessa: Beckett please don't get mad.

Beckett: Mad!? My best friend and my girlfriend kissed and didn't even tell me.

Vanessa: It was last year. And I'm with you now. Where our kiss means something.

Beckett: I just need time to think about it.

Beckett says as he leaves.
