Mile's POV
I wake up early. I get up and I see and hear Jax snoring sound asleep. I check my phone and I see that it is 7:15. I walk out of my tent and I see Vanessa sitting on a cliff that looks to be a bit far from here. I decide to walk up there and join her. She is daydreaming and doesn't notice me so I decide to be sneaky. I walk up behind her, then I tap her on the shoulder and I also say,

Miles: Boo!

Then Vanessa screams. I start to laugh and she nudges me in the shoulder. I sit next to her.

Vanessa: I hate you Miles Lennox!

Miles: Oh, come on. That was funny.

Vanessa: I could've gotten a heart attack.

Miles: And I could've gone deaf from all of your screaming.

Then we both laugh.

Miles: So how old are you now?

Vanessa: 17.

Miles: Wow. You're lucky most of our birthday's are during the summer.

Vanessa: How is that lucky?

Miles: I don't know.

Then Vanessa friendly punches me in the shoulder.

Miles: So how are things with you and Beckett? 

Vanessa: It's complicated. What about you and Alya?

Miles: It's going pretty good.

Vanessa: Pretty good?

Miles: Okay, fine. The other day we got into this fight. We haven't talked that much since.

Vanessa: What was it about?

Miles: She said that I wasn't giving her too much attention because Jax and I were hanging out a lot. I said some things that I didn't mean.

Vanessa: Why were you guys hanging out a lot?

Miles: Jax wanted to do this thing for Kit and needed my help. 

Vanessa: Was the fight bad?

Miles: Well...

Flashback to the day of the fight

Jax and I were working on his surprise for Kit in the art room. Then I hear the doors open and I see Alya. I get up from the chair I was just sitting in.

Miles: Hey, what's up?

Alya: We were supposed to meet at the diner a half hour ago.

Miles: Oh my god I'm so sorry I just forgot.

Alya: Miles this is the second time this week that you have forgotten.

Jax: Maybe I should just go.

Then Jax grabs his stuff and leaves. Now it's just me and Alya.

Miles: I'm sorry Jax and I were just hanging out.

Alya: You guys have been hanging out every day of the week!

Miles: What's wrong with that?

Alya: We barely spend any time together.

Miles: What do you mean!? We see each other everyday.

Alya: We see each other as much as you and Bianca see each other. I mean like quality time as a couple.

Miles: I know okay I'm sorry. What do you want me to do? Stop spending time with my friends?

Alya: I'm not saying that. I just want you to have enough time for me.
