New Beginnings

Daniel's POV
They moved the auditions to Saturday since Friday some of the students had a party and got in trouble. I walk into the studio and head to the bar. I place my bag down and start stretching. There are so many kids here, and only 5 of us get in. I start getting nervous. Then this guy comes in through the doors. He looks like the head choreographer.

Head Choreographer: Okay listen up! You will be performing your own choreography. First one up is Kristen Johnson. Daniel Kolpan, you're on deck.

Then the girl follows him into a room. I start to get even more nervous now. Then I check my phone and I see a text message from Carly and Vanessa on our group chat. It says good luck. I start to smile and I get less nervous. Then I start to warm up. I see the girl leaving the room in tears. And the nervousness is back.

Head choreographer: Daniel Kolpan! You're up.

Then I follow him into a room. I look around and it's the auditorium. It's humongous. Then the head choreographer sits down on one of those judge tables and I read all of the names for the people on the signs in front of them. A blond man is the head dance coach that is sitting on the right. Then the head choreographer is in the middle. And on the left is a brown haired woman who is the principal. I walk onto the stage.

Principal: Name, date of birth, what school you're from, and reason for being here.

Daniel: My name is Daniel Kolpan, I was born July 6, 2002, I am from the Keaton school of arts, and I want to become the best dancer I can be and I believe that this academy can provide training to help me achieve that goal.

Head Dance Coach: Well let's get started then.

I hear the music start and I start to dance what Vanessa and I choreographed.

After I'm done they all politely clap. Then I bow.

Head Dance Coach: That was exceptional. You are dismissed.

Then I walk out of there. That did not go well. I have a bad feeling about that audition.

After all the auditions
After everyone is done with the auditions they had us all gather in the studio.

Head Choreographer: So here are the 5 selected students. Now if you don't get chosen, that just means you weren't cut out for our elite dancing. So...
1. Grace Henderson
2. Hailee Curtis
3. Kristy Jane
4. Jake Leater
Now our final student is Austin Brendar.

Then I start to walk away in disappointment.

Head Choreographer: Or, Daniel Kolpan.

I walk back to where I was before.

Head Dance Coach: Mr. Kolpan and Mr. Brendar will have a dance battle deciding who will have the last spot.

Then I look at the Austin guy. This is what he looks like.
