As Long As I Have You

Chapter 5:

~Last Time~

After they finish their food Emily looks at Ali. "Ok, Now it's time to talk about the reason why we came here." Emily says and Ali nods feeling really nervous. "Right well It's very complicated but I might as well just come clean." Ali says and looks over at Emily. "I lied about having a boyfriend because I was covering up something else that's going on." She says. "I lied because some crazy stuff has been happening these past 3 months." Ali says and takes a deep breath as she begins to explain why she lied.

~Now~

"I feel horrible for lying to you for as long as I have been Em." Ali says then continues. "But I was so scared to tell the truth about what was going on." Emily looks at her. "Ali whatever it is that's been going on you can tell me. You don't have to be scared." She says and feels worried. "Well, I guess I should start from the beginning." Ali says. "I don't want anyone to hear us though. Can we please go to your car?" She asks as she stands up and pays for their meal.

Emily nods and gets up following her out to the car and unlocking the doors getting inside with her. "Ok, Continue." She says looking at Ali. "It all started about 3 1/2 months ago, I was having a lot of problems mentally." Ali says looking down at her feet. "I was depressed, extremely depressed so bad to the point that I didn't even feel like I should live anymore."
Ali says and stops to take a deep breath then looks back at Emily. "I was in such a bad place that one day I had just had enough of this world, and I decided that I wanted to leave it all behind. I attempted suicide." Ali mumbles.

"When my dad found me he called an ambulance and they took me straight to the hospital. Then from there when I was well enough physically to be released from the hospital my dad turned me over to Welby and I was there for a whole month. That's why I wasn't at school for a while because I was in Welby, getting treatment." Ali says and looks at Emily then back at her feet. "I was feeling a lot better, or so I thought until I started to have hallucinations. I was imagining all kinds of things. I even imagined being took into a surgery of some sort, or at least I thought I imagined it." Ali said.

"About a week and a half went by. I had been in Welby for a total of a month and almost 2 weeks by then and I was ready to leave and get on with my life and try to be a happier more positive person." She sighs and continues. "When I got home I started to feel so sick. I thought at first it was the flu or something. I couldn't have been more wrong." Ali says tearing up and Emily takes Ali's hand in hers listening to every word she's saying.

"A couple days later I still wasn't better. Normally I wouldn't be worried if it was the flu because everytime I get the flu it usually lasts for a week. Sometimes longer but this time. I realized that I was late." Ali mumbles the last part. Emily looks confused. "What do you mean late Ali?" Ali tears up and looks at Emily. "My period Emily. It was late and I've never been late before it was always on time." She sniffles. "I was in shock for a while but then I thought I shouldn't worry till I went to see a doctor and make sure of what was going on before I started panicking." She says.

"So I made an appointment for later that day and I went. The doctor confirmed that I was pregnant. About a month and a half along at the time." She sighs. "I was so upset. I thought that my doctor in Welby had done something horrible to me. That's when I decided to get a DNA test done to make sure that he was the father, but when the results came back they couldn't determine a father but they could tell me that the baby didn't even have my DNA, which meant the baby came from an egg donor." Ali continues and Emily looks at her with wide eyes in shock of everything that she is hearing.

"They said that the eggs came from you Emily." She says very quietly feeling really really nervous about what Emily is going to say to her next. "Y-You mean that the baby is mine?" She studders in disbelief and Ali nods. "Oh my gosh Ali. This is crazy." She says. "It's not your fault that this happened though. It's that horrible doctors fault." She says trying to comfort her. "I promise you Ali. I'm gonna be there for you. Every step of the way. Alright?" She looks at her. "Thank you so much Em." She sniffles and hugs Emily tight. "I actually have a doctors appointment tommorow. If you want to come. The doctor said she may be able to tell the gender this time." Ali smiles. "I wouldn't miss it for the world." Emily says smiling big.

Next chapter will be Ali's doctor appointment and they find out the gender of the baby. I promise you all that Emily and Ali will become a couple very soon I just didn't want to rush into it right away. ~ M<3
