As Long As I Have You

Chapter 7:

~Last Time~

Emily begins setting the crib up and gets everything together about 2 hours later. “What do you think? Does it look good?” Emily asks Ali. “It looks perfect. Thank you so much Em for helping me out. I can’t thank you enough.”
“I’m just happy that I can help you Ali and be here for you. You don’t have to thank me for anything. It’s my pleasure.” She says and smiles. “I’m going to go and make us some lunch.” Emily says and goes downstairs to make lunch for them.

~Now~

A week later Ali and Emily are sitting on the couch in Ali’s living room when Emily looks over at Ali. “Ali, Can I ask you something?” She says feeling kind of nervous about what she’s about to ask. “Of course you can Em.” She smiles. “Ok. Well I’ve been thinking lately, How would you feel about me maybe  moving in with you? That way I could help you more once the baby gets here.” She asks. “That sounds like a great idea Em! When were you thinking of moving in?” She looks at Emily.

“Whenever is best for you.” She smiles. “I can do any day.” Ali smiles big. “How about today?” Ali suggests. “Sure!” Emily replies excitedly. They get up off the couch and walk out to Emily’s car then get in and go to her house.
Once they get to Emily’s house they get out and walk inside then up to Emily’s room to start packing up boxes.

…

A few hours later they are back at Ali’s unloading box after box from the car and bringing them into Ali’s house then carrying them upstairs to the master bedroom. “I’m guessing we are going to be sleeping in here because your dad moved out?” She asked. “Yeah. If it’s ok that we share a bed.” She blushes.

“That’s perfectly fine with me Ali.” She laughs a bit. “We are best friends so it shouldn’t be weird or anything.” Ali looks at her and nods slowly. “Y-yeah. Best friends.” She mumbles. “Ali? Is something wrong? You seem kind of sad.” She frowns.
“I can’t really tell you what’s going on Em. If I did you wouldn’t want anything to do with me anymore.” She sighs. “Ali, I’m here for you alright. That means I’m here for you no matter what and I don’t judge you for anything. Ok?” Emily says.

“Ireallylikeyouasmorethanjustafriend.” Ali says quickly. Emily looks very confused. “What was that Ali?” Emily asks looking at her. Ali looks down at her lap and mumbles. “I said that I really like you as more than a friend.” She blushes a lot and looks up at her. Emily looks at her with wide eyes wondering If she heard her correctly or not. “D-did you say you like me as more than a friend?” Emily asks her.

“I did.” She replies still feeling really nervous.   Emily smiles and laughs a bit. “I can’t tell you how happy I am to hear you say that to me Ali. I have liked you as more than a friend for years but I was too afraid to say anything because I thought you didn’t like girls.” She says and Ali takes Emily’s hand in hers. “Well I wouldn’t really say that I do Em. I just liked you because, You are special to me. You are different from other girls.” She says.
“There’s something I’ve been wanting to do for a really long time.” She says and leans in towards Emily and kisses her. Emily kisses back then pulls away slowly smiling. “Totally worth the wait I must say.” She smiles big. Emily nods in agreement. “Yes it was.”

“I’m so glad that you like me too.” Emily says.

A/N: Sorry for it being such a short chapter I’ve literally wrote 3 different chapters of this story tonight lol. Anyways though in this fanfiction Ali and Emily never really had any type of relationship but as friends until now and they aren’t dating yet but they will be very very soon this is sorta like a filler chapter for before they start dating. I hope you guys liked this chapter even if it was short. ~ M <3
