Chapter 10 : Finally Girlfriends

As Long As I Have You

Chapter 10:

~Last Time~

"Alright. Here it goes." Emily says. "I know you like me as more than a friend and I was wondering if maybe, you might wanna maybe be girlfriends? But I don't wanna rush you into anything if you aren't ready for that yet." She says and looks at Ali.

~Now~

"Em, I would love that! I would love to be your girlfriend so much!" Ali says and smiles big coming over to Emily and kissing her. Emily smiles into the kiss and kisses back a bit harder then pulls away looking into Ali's eyes. "I have wanted this for as long as I can remember. I wanted to be with you and to have a family with you and I'm getting everything that I ever wanted in my whole life." Emily says happily.

"I feel the same way Em." Ali says. "I've wanted to be with you ever since the first day I met you. That might sound weird but it's true. I just knew it my heart that we were meant to be together." She says and blushes. "Aw Ali, that's so cute." Emily says. Ali nods feeling a bit embarrassed that she just admitted that to her.

Emily finishes cooking their breakfast and puts everything on plates then sits the plates on the table and sits down with Ali. "So does this mean that we are dating now then?" Emily asks. "If that's what you want Em." Ali says and smiles starting to eat her breakfast. "I do but only if its what you want too Ali." She says and starts to eat her breakfast as well.

Ali nods. "I would love that Em." She smiles and keeps eating her breakfast. "Besides it would only make sense for us to be together because we are gonna be raising a baby together." Ali says and Emily nods in agreement. "You do have a good point there." Emily says.

After they finish their breakfast they start the rest of their day. Emily does some chores around the house and Ali helps her with what she can. "I think we should probably make a trip to the grocery store soon. We are kinda running low on food." Ali says.

"I can go in a little bit. I don't mind." Emily says. "Would you care if I came with you? I don't really like being at home by myself." Ali says. "I don't mind. If you wanna come you are more than welcome to." Emily says and smiles as she goes back to doing some laundry.

...

A few hours later after a trip to the grocery store the girls sat on the couch continuing binge watching a show together. "Oh my gosh! That episode was insane!" Ali says and Emily nods in response. "Maybe we should cut this short and go to bed a little early before one of us or both of us falls asleep here on the couch." Emily says yawning. Ali nods and they both get up and go upstairs to their bedroom and get ready to go to sleep.

After a few minutes they both lay down in the bed and fall asleep for the night.

The next morning Ali wakes up really early from having a bad nightmare. "That was really intense." Ali says quietly to herself sitting up in the bed and rubbing her stomach gently. "It felt so real." She mumbles and Emily hears her then wakes up too. "Ali? Are you ok? Is something wrong?" Emily looks at her feeling really concerned.

"Everything's fine Em I just had a really realistic nightmare that was horrible." Ali sighs a little. "So much for me trying to sleep in today." She frowns. "Maybe you can go back to sleep honey." Emily says and Ali smiles blushing a little. "That's the first time you've ever called me something other than Ali." She smiles and lays back down on her side. "Come here."

Emily says as she cuddles into Ali and wraps her arms gently around Ali's stomach. "Try and get some more sleep." Emily says to her and closes her eyes trying to go back to sleep. Ali nods and closes her eyes as well eventually falling back asleep for a few hours.

They sleep for a while then Emily wakes back up and looks over at Ali seeing her still asleep so she decides to keep laying there with her until she wakes up because she really needed to get her sleep. Ali keeps sleeping for another hour then wakes up and she turns onto her side meeting Emily's eyes with her own and she smiles. "Good morning beautiful." She says to Emily.

"Good morning gorgeous." Emily responds back and Ali blushes a lot. "I slept so much better when I fell back asleep." She says. "I think its because I felt safe in your arms." Ali smiles. "Really?" Emily says and blushes a bit. "I'm glad that I could help then." She smiles.

Ali nods and gets up walking down to the kitchen starting to make breakfast for them both. Emily gets up and follows her downstairs. "What are you gonna make?" She asks. "I was thinking maybe some bagels or something simple like that for today." She says and looks at Emily. "Does that sound good to you?"

"Sure." Emily says and smiles walking over to the fridge and getting some cream cheese out for their bagels while Ali heats the bagels up in the toaster.

A few days later Ali walks downstairs after getting ready and looks over at Emily who is sitting on the couch. "You wanna come with me to my check up Em?" She asks as she grabs a yogurt from the fridge and opens it eating it. "Of course babe." Emily says and gets up off the couch walking to the front door and grabbing her car keys. "Are you ready to go?" She asks.

"Yep." Ali says quickly finishing her yogurt and walking over to the door then going out of the house and getting into the car with Emily. They drive to the doctors office and go inside getting another ultrasound of the baby then coming back out.

"I can't believe that in just a few weeks we are going to be mothers." Ali says getting back into the car and buckling up. "That makes two of us." Emily laughs. "These past few months have just flown by." She says and starts the car driving out of the parking lot and back to their house.

Once they are back at the house they both get out and go inside. "We should probably get to work on painting the nursery soon babe." Ali says. "I'll handle that don't you worry about it." Emily says and smiles. "I'm going to go and get the paint later on today." She says and looks at Ali.

"Sounds great." Ali says and grabs a drink from the fridge then goes to sit down on the couch for a little bit.

A/N: I'm sorry this chapter is kind of all over the place I've been having a bit of trouble figuring out what to write for some chapters but it should get better soon. These next couple of chapters are kind of just filler chapters for before the baby is born. And I know its probably confusing to some of you as to how far along Ali is now. She's right at 8 months along at the end of this chapter and in the next chapter as well. I hope that clears some things up for you guys. (: And I'm also hoping to throw in a few surprises for you guys in the future chapters somewhere lol because I love surprising people. Anyways, I hope you all enjoyed this chapter even though it was all over the place. ~M <3
