As Long As I Have You

Chapter 6:

~Last Time~
"They said that the eggs came from you Emily." She says very quietly feeling really really nervous about what Emily is going to say to her next. "Y-You mean that the baby is mine?" She stutters in disbelief and Ali nods. "Oh my gosh Ali. This is crazy." She says. "It's not your fault that this happened though. It's that horrible doctors fault." She says trying to comfort her. "I promise you Ali. I'm going to be there for you. Every step of the way. Alright?" She looks at her. "Thank you so much Em." She sniffles and hugs Emily tight. "I actually have a doctors appointment tomorrow. If you want to come. The doctor said she may be able to tell the gender this time." Ali smiles. "I wouldn't miss it for the world." Emily says smiling big.

~Now~
They leave the restaurant and go to Emily’s house spending the rest of the day watching movies and doing other fun things. Once it starts to get late Emily looks over at Ali. “You should spend the night tonight so that way we can get up tomorrow and go straight to the doctors office.” Emily smiles.

“Are you sure that’s ok Em? I don’t want to intrude or anything.” She says blushing a little. “I’m sure Ali. I would love if you stayed over.” Emily says. “Come with me and you can pick out which pair of PJs you want to wear.” Emily says then gets up and holds her hand out to Ali. Ali nods and takes Emily’s hand going upstairs with her and into her bedroom looking a little nervous.

“Let me see what I have to choose from.” Emily says then walks into her closet looking around and picks out a few different pairs of pajamas then comes back out showing them to Ali. “Like any of these?” She asks. “I like those.” She says pointing to a silk pajama tank top and shorts. “Alright here you go.” Emily says and gives her the PJs so she can go and get changed.

Ali takes the PJs and goes into the bathroom to get ready to go to sleep. Emily goes to the guest bathroom and does the same. A few minutes later they both come back into the bedroom. “Well um, you could sleep here or in the guest room. It’s up to you.” She looks at Ali.

“Would it be weird if I slept in here with you? “ Ali asks blushing a little. “No not at all Ali.” Emily smiles and fixes the bed for them so they can lay down then she gets in underneath the covers looking over at Ali. “Goodnight Ali.” Ali lays down beside Emily in the bed and gets underneath the covers as well. “Goodnight Em.” She says back as she closes her eyes to go to sleep and Emily does the same.

The next morning Ali wakes up around 10 am and gets up out of bed and goes to get dressed. Emily lays in the bed still asleep because she has always loved to sleep in late whenever possible. Ali gets dressed then goes downstairs and begins making breakfast for her and Emily as a thank you for letting her stay over last night and for keeping her company all day yesterday.

Emily moves around in her bed then notices Ali isn’t in the bed anymore and wakes up going downstairs still in her PJs. Ali is standing beside the kitchen table sitting down two plates full of breakfast food. “Good morning Ali.” Emily smiles and rubs her eyes not believing what she is seeing. “I thought you said you were awful at cooking.” She says and looks at Ali. “I’m not the best but I wanted to cook you a little something to thank you for yesterday.” Ali says and gets them each a glass. “What would you like to drink?” Emily walks over to the table.

“I’ll just have some juice please.” She says and sits down. “Coming right up.” Ali grabs the juice from the fridge and gets a glass of water for herself then sits down giving Emily her drink and taking a sip of her water. “Tell me what you think of it.” Ali says motioning to the food.
