I finished in the last bubbles in the quiz. I could honestly care less where the Declaration of Independence was signed. As I walked up to turn in my test I felt a sudden dizziness take over me. Alex and Dustin were going to pay for this. I shook my head and walked over to Coach Nelson to hand in my paper. As I sat, I reached over and grabbed my bottle of pills out of my bag they gave me to help with the headaches and stuff. What everyone had thought was just a simple concussion, really was a popped brain vessel. It was a constant agonizing pain. It felt like someone was continually slamming my head into brick wall every time I did any type of physical activity. That meant no basketball until it was all healed up. They said I should be fine in the next couple weeks. Lucky for me break starts once school is out today. This means one very, very long sleep in my bed for days. I was not socializing. The bell rang like a fire whistle echoing through my brain.
I mopped out of the history room. This was the last hour of the day before break. I opened my locker slowly. "Hello!" Clair popped over. I knew she wasn't trying to but the sound of people voices made my head ache.
"Hey" I responded groggy like.
"So you doing anything over break?" She asked chipper. That was when it hit me. She had been unnaturally happy the past few days.
"Yes I have a very romantic date with my bed." I said dryly.
"Nice so I have my Christmas gift for you. Your coming over for secret Santa right?" She asked. I had completely forgotten about Clair's party.
"You know you are not suppose to tell who you have right?" I asked slightly grinning through my pain.
"I got everyone gifts. I am not your secret Santa. I just decided to get everyone a gift!"
"Ok. So who is all coming?" I questioned. I didn't even know who all was even in the drawing.
"You, Jamie, Traycon, Piper, Maria, Victoria, and Alex..." She replied dropping off the last name.
"ALEX?!? What the hell? Why in the world is he coming? Did you suddenly forget what he did?" I shouted my headache growing and growing as I yelled louder.
"It's not what you think. He showed up at my house and explained everything." She pleaded sparkling her bright beautiful eyes.
"Really? And you are okay with all of it?"
"It's not that big of a deal. He just wanted to stop me from falling for the wrong guy." She defended. The halls were starting to clear up and become very bare. I stood bewildered at the words she was saying.
"So what about the notes? The signs?" I questioned.
"That wasn't him he is the one who told Dustin to stop."
"No, he is the one doing it." I stated grabbing my head in pain.
"No, he isn't sweet guys don't do that!" She announced shaking her head getting visually irritated.
"He isn't a sweet guy! Did you see what he did to me?" I asked referring to me head.
"You fell! You know what I got to go. I'll just see you later." She said shaking her head pissed off. Why couldn't she just belivie what I was saying? I loved her, I still love her. I am way more than they would ever be. I'm the one she should be with. Not some idiots lying to her. My head began spinning and I knew this was a well deserved break....
