"I got an idea! I can just dump Elliot that way I can date Dustin." I babbled on."No harm done...Except for Elliot. I mean I don't want to hurt him...What do I do?"
"What do I do? I mean Traycon kissed me andI just don't want to get hurt again. It sucked last time and I just don't want it to happen again." Jamie cried.
"I don't want to hurt Elliot."
"I don't want to get hurt."
"Both of you just calm down. Carson and I are here to help but we are only human!"Piper said
"I'll take Jamie because she is dealing with my best friend." Carson said sitting down next to me."Okay I think you need to just need to talk to him. I know for a fact he thinks you just want to punish him. Tell him why it is so hard for you. If you let him know why things are so hard he'll understand. Ten you guys can work through it together." he explained to Jamie.
"I think you should do it slowly. Let Elliot know that you are sorry and you fell in love with someone new. That it just wasn't ment to be. You don't want to hurt his feelings." Piper said comforting me.
"Wrong, with Elliot, you have to do it quick.Nice and hard. If you try doing it slow. He won't get the picture. It's like a band aid. You have to rip it off. He gets over things quickly."
"Okay nice and quickly, got it." I repeated. I needed to do this. I got up and walked over to the table Eliot was at."Can we talk?" I asked.
"Sure anything for you. And I just want to thank you. All the guys are talking to me and congratulating me! It is so awesome!!!" He smiled. Why did he make this so hard?"S what did you need to talk to me about?"
"Just that I am so glad we are dating" I said. Chicken!
"I was thinking we should take things to the next step?"
"Wait, what?"
"You know meeting the parents?Maybe a kiss or two?" He nudged me while nodding. What was I suppose to say now?
"I don't know. It's just we are moving so fast I think..."
"Okay, scratch that. We can go whatever speed you want. As long as you are happy."He cut me off.
"Great!"I said plastering my face with a fake smile and walked away.
"Did you do it?" Piper asked as me as I sat at the table.
"No" I said plumping down at the table."I tried but he was just so happy"
"Chicken.."Piper coughed."You can't keep stringing him along. It's only going to make him get hurt worse."
"I can't.." I complained.
"I'll do it."Jamie said getting up.
"Just make sure he knows I want to be friends and that it's not him it's me." I informed her.
"Okay, fine" She said not really listening.
Next thing I knew, she was getting up and walking over to his table. I could hear her from over where I was sitting."Look, Elliot, you and Clair, are done. She wants you guys to be friends. Bye" And then she walked away looking over at Traycon as she left.
"I said nicely" I screamed louder than meaning. All eyes were on me even his. His eyes filled with tears as he walked out of the lunchroom. Jamie stood their stunned. "Continue with your meals" I turned and said gesturing to all them. People could be so nosey!
"Well that was awkward!"She said looking at me
"I said nicely"I said
"I told him you wanted to be friends"She defended.
"Oh Jamie"I smiled as I draped my arm around her. I smiled at the thought of what has just happened. I knew I was in for a real ride then....
