I have known people that demand others respect the flag of the country, and attribute this demand to the sacrifices made by soldiers and military personnel.
I have known ex-military personnel that became activists and anarchists after their tours, and have chosen to come home and fight tyranny in their own homeland.
I have never known the former to show respect to the latter.
