Demi Lovato- Olivia Rodriguez
Chapter Three:
Annalissa POV
I ran up to Olivia snatching a sleeping Athena out of her arms. "What the hell Anna?!" Olivia exclaimed looking around alarmed. Wrinkles were forming on her face from the frown of confusion that had settled there. I didn't say anything to her, just continued to look at the innocent and beautiful baby in my arms. Her black hair was slicked to the side like she had just been shower and she was swaddled with her favorite blanket. The nerves that had resided in my stomach since seeing Noah, had all but disappeared as I watched my baby sleep.
I don't know how long I held Athena and watched her sleep before Olivia interrupted my moment. "Are you going to tell me why you came running in like you had Hell Hounds on your heels and grabbed Tina out of my arms like I was the Devil himself?" She said snappily. I guess I deserved that, she is after all her God Mother and I wouldn't trust anyone more with her. Without so much as a word, I slowly and quietly walked over to Athena's bassinet in the corner of the living room. I placed her there gently taking in all of her face and placing a loving kiss on her forehead. I gestured to Olivia to follow me to the kitchen and I sat at the kitchen table. "Sit." I told her, she stood seething next to the chair. "It's a long story, and I rather not break my neck in the process of having to look at you." I sarcastically stated.
She dragged out the chair letting it scarpe across the floor, making the screeching sound that I hated so much. "Okay, get to telling. I havent got all night. I have a husband who wants me home and is kind of pissed that I left in the middle of our foreplay to come and help you with your 'Emergency'." Olivia was married to a Scorpion named Jay. He was a loyal and loving man. He didn't like parties or club whores. He loved Olivia and the Club equally but if he could avoid interacting with others he would without a doubt. "I will make it as fast as possible, I can assure you." I rolled my eyes knowing well that she would end up spending the night in the guest room like countless times before. Silence fell over us as the seriousness of the conversarion was starting to weigh in.
"Do you remember when you asked me who Athena's dad was and I told you that she is the product of a one night stand when we went to Houston."
"Yeah." She said pensive."What about it?"
"It wasn't a one night stand." I said shamefully as I lowered my gaze to the tiled floor. I was pissed at myself for lying to her but I didn't want her to feel pity for me when she found out why I left him. "Why did you lie to me?" I didn't miss the hurt that passed through her hazel eyes.
"I didn't want you to know that I had slept with a married man who had a family of his own. That I fell for a biker, when I gave you so much shit for marrying Jay. We always said we would get out of this world, and here we went opening our arms to it like we said 'Fuck it'" you could hear the hurt in my voice even though I tried to cover it up.
"Who is he Annalissa? And why are you just now bringing this up. You have had months to tell me and you are doing it just now." Olivia was very clever, she knew I wouldn't just bring it up just because I felt like it. She always had a six sense for this type of crazy feeling shit. "Her dad is in town." I whispered. It was so quiet you could her the hands moving on the clock on the wall and my dog Leo's snores in the hallway.
"Why is he here. He is from Houston, right?"
"I thought so, never really asked. I only knew him about two weeks." I mumbled loud enough for her gto hear. Again, silence enveloped us, so I went for the kill. "He is a Reaper from the Edinburg Charter." I confessed.
"Oh God. You saw him at the merger tonight, didn't you?" I nodded my head indicating that I had and I was soon engulfed and squashed in two tiny arms. Sobs were bouncing off the walls and a shaking sensation. At first I thought that Olivia was crying, but I soon realized it was me. I was hysterical. Full blown, ugly snot crying on Olivia's shoulder. "What am I going to do?" I hiccupped in a voice I am sure she barely understood.
