Chapter Eight: Extra Complicated

Annalissa POV

As I walked out of the room, a invisible weight had been lifted off my shoulders. A smile slowly made its way onto my face, not being able to contain my happiness. I was sure Noah was going to throw a fit and blow the situation out of proportion, but he acted like an adult. Ready to take Athena home and get started on some papers that are due on Monday for my English Literature class, I headed towards my car.

Just as I was getting ready to unlock the car door, I heard David yell from my right. He was sprinting towards me, throwing his body in front of mine. A whizzing sound passed by my ear and a burning sensation erupted on my head. It was like slow motion. I shielded a screaming Athena under me, protecting her from the blazing bullets and from the eyes of the burly men riding away on their bike's. David's mouth was moving, but I could not comprehend what he was saying. Pulling Athena away from me to look at her, she was covered in blood.

Panicking over the blood, I rushed her inside the club house as I cried hysterically. At this rate there were several guys in the main room being to late to stop the chaos that had arrived outside. I laid Athena down on the pool table and stripped her of her clothes checking for any injuries, to find none. As if I was underwater I could hear David say something again but only barely piecing it together. The burning returned and pain overwhelmed my body, not shortly after darkness consumed me.

Noah "Sin" Carter POV

"Anna!" I exclaimed as I watched her tiny body drop to the floor. Blood was running down her head and onto her tan face, making puddle of red on the white tile floor. Bile started to build up in my throat as I ran towards the horrific scene.

David pulled an unconscious Annalissa into his arms yelling at everyone to dial 911. Athena laid crying on the pool table, hands and feet kicking away in anger. I picked her up and rocked her side to side, trying to sooth the terrified infant. "What the hell happened?!"asked an angry Alexander as he approached us with Cristiano close behind. He looked like shit, and as soon as he saw Annalissa he fell to the floor and nursed her bleeding head.

"Serpents." Was all David said, but it was enough to assume they were pissed at the fact Reapers merged with the Scorpions. "I am going to kill all of those mother fuckers." I stated.

"You will not do anything." Cristiano growled from on the floor. "This is our family, we will take care of the repercussions." He glared.

"She is my family!" I yelled.

"Jut because you fucked doesn't mean she is anything to you."that stung. It was a low blow and he knew it. I was more than positive that Annalissa had told them about me. We loved each other, even if it was for a moment we did. "Watch yourself Cris." Alexander warned, feeling the tension rising in the room. We continued with a stare down so intense those around us became uncomfortable. Red and blue shinning lights stream through the windows alerting us of the authorities and the paramedics.

In a flash there were people taking a bloody Annalissa away from David and placing her on a gurney. They rushed her to the ambulance, asking if anyone wanted to go with her. Without even asking Cristiano jumped in looking like he was going to pass out. Everyone began to jump on their bikes and follow them to the hospital.

Alexander was the only one to stay behind and talk to the sheriff. "Look Alex, you are lucky that there was no one else hurt too bad. You know I don't mess around with that. Next time their will be an investigation, and even my say won't help."
