Chapter 21

I laid in bed exhausted, I heard a knock at my window and I rolled over to see what was tapping on my window. I went over and opened the blinds. Dick was standing on the ledge, gripping to the frame. I opened the window an let him in.

"Hey baby," He kissed me.

"Hey How are you?" I asked.

"I'm good how are you?" He asked as I closed the window.

"I'm great. I'm probably getting published tomorrow." I Said as I put the blinds down.

"An actual article?" Dick asked.

"Yes Sir, Perry wanted an article on Dirt on Oliver. I gave it to him, but I also gave him one on what Oliver has done to clean up Star City." I Said.

"Perry chose the one on what Oliver has done to help the city."

"smart man," Dick Said.

"And How was your day?" I asked.

"Long, being a cop is hard. And being a good cop in a corrupt city is harder." He Said as he took his Nightwing suit off and grabbed some of the cloths he kept here.

I rested my head on his chest. "I hate this," I Said.

"Hate what?" Dick asked as he played with my hair.

"I hate that, we're never together. I wanna wake up and have you with me. Have you walk me to work. To have you kiss me and tell me to have a good day before leaving for your own job." I said.

"I know you do, but we live in two different cities." We sat up and I put my hands on his chest.

"We've always lived in two different cities. I'm done I want you in my bed every night. I want us to have dinner every night. And more than everything I want to fight crime with you. I love you Dick Grayson and I can't bare to be apart from you." I said. Dick kissed my And pushed me down on the bed.

"No!" I objected.

"You love me yet you don't want me to love you." He said.

"You know I'm waiting for marriage." I said as I cupped his face.

"Then Let's get married." Dick said.

"yes Let's get married." I said.

Dick kissed me. He got off me and got up.

"What are you doing?" I asked as I got up.

He took my hand and got down on one knee.

"What are you doing Grayson?" I asked.

"Will you marry me?" He asked.

"What?" I laughed as I covered my mouth.

"I don't have a ring and I don't even have either of our fathers' blessings. But what I do have is more than enough love for you that I want to spend the rest of my life with you." He said as as she stood up and embraced me.

"Yes," I said.

"I will marry you Dick Grayson." I laughed as he spun me. "I'll call in sick tomorrow,-"

"we'll both call in sick-" I interrupted.

"Yes We'll both call in sick so we can pick out your ring One that you will love no matter the cost. I've got money saved away." He said as he kissed me.

"Yes," I Smiled as he kept kissing me. "I love you Dick Grayson." I whispered and I hugged him.

In the morning we both called in sick, and then made breakfast together. I lost track of how many times we kissed. I was so happy, I loved Dick so much.
