We Just Can't Catch A Break, Can We?

Chapter 22, part 2-

*Last chapter*

After 10 seconds of just standing there like a prostitute, I heard the engines of cars. And they didn’t even open the door. They just fucking went through it!.

They kept going. Great, they were gonna leave me here. They probably didn’t even notice me here.

 Of course not idiot! They’re shitting bricks right now! My inner voice said.

Great, fucking great. They kept going.

**Mike’s POV**

Like hell I was gonna let that happen, I just fucking risked my life up there for a reason, I was gonna make it count!.

“Fuck this shit” I said out loud, but most likely to myself.

I got in the middle of the street and got my gun off my shoulders and pointed at whoever was driving the hummer. I didn’t give a fuck if I got ran over, but I was not just gonna stand there on the side praying for them to notice me here. If it wasn’t for me and Caden, they wouldn’t even be here. I could see that some of the infected survived the falls and they were running my way.

They got closer and they didn’t even slow down to check who it was or if they knew it was me, to check if I wasn’t infected. Which would be stupid for them to think I was infected, because no damn infected would be holding a gun in the middle of a street with the possibility of getting ran over. Unless they thought I got bit, then that is a different story.

I was too busy fighting with myself but when I snapped out of it and looked at them again, they were coming closer, probably about 10 feet. I realized I had lowered my gun to my side, so I got it and pointed it at them again.

This is it. I thought to myself.

They slammed on the breaks 2 feet away from me. 2 FUCKING FEET!!!!!!!!.

Caden got out of the door to the right and ran over to me. “C’mon” he said.

He didn’t even ask if I got bit or anything, he just fucking led me to the hummer. Now, that is what I fucking call a friend.

I got in and inside were Elli, Amanda, Caden and I,  oh yeah, and the scared bitch was driving. I meant Josh.

I saw that Amanda was crying uncontrollably and I frowned at this, who the hell had died?. Was it Rick?. I was about to ask when Josh turned in his seat and looked mad as shit. The fuck? What did I do?. Was I supposed to let myself die?.

“What?” I said, getting mad because he was looking at me as if I was a piece of shit.

He turned to Caden and asked him, “Did you check?”.

“Check for what?” I said.

“If you got bit, you idiot!” He said, yelling when he said ‘idiot’. So we save their lives and they can’t save ours without questioning?.

“No!” I said. Ignoring the part where he called me an idiot, because if not, I was gonna lose it and kill him right here.

“I know he didn’t” Caden said, defending me.

“How do you know, you didn’t fucking check!” Josh yelled. What the fuck bro!, His stupid yelling was delaying us from keep going and for the damn infected to catch up to us.

“I didn’t get bit!, do you see fucking blood on me!?” I yelled. Keeping myself from grabbing my gun. Elli was now awake and was just there looking at Josh with a scared face.

I saw her look back and I guess she saw the infected.

She turned to look at Josh. “Josh!, we have to go!” She said, pushing him gently on the shoulder.

“Don’t touch me!” Josh yelled at her and pushed her, hard enough for her to hurt her back with the door. Ok, that threw me over the edge, nobody touched my baby!.

“Fuck this!” I said.

I got out of the car and opened the door to the driver’s side and got Josh out of it. Well, more like threw his ass out of the car. He fell to the floor on his back and looked shocked as fuck.

“That’s what you get for hurting my girlfriend bitch” I said. I saw an infected getting close from our side so I shot it right in the head. Yeah, another one.

I looked down at Josh and said. “You should thank that infected because that bullet was for you”. I then got in the car and closed the door behind me. And did what a pissed boyfriend would do. Well, me. I drove. Leaving his ass behind.

“You can’t just leave them there!” Caden told me, but didn’t do anything to stop me.

“Ah whatever, they will pick his ass up” I said. Referring to whoever was driving the escalade behind us. I stopped for a brief second and looked through the rearview mirror. Just in time to see Josh entering the other car.

“See?’’ I said. And started driving again.

“I’m glad you survived” Caden said.

“I told you I was gonna meet you ‘guys’ here” I said. Putting emphasis on the word “Guys”, I smiled to myself.

“Yeah, I know, but shit that was scary dude” He said.

“Yeah it was” Elli said. Surprising me in the process. I looked over at her and she was biting her bottom lip. Fuck, a turn on right there.

I half smiled at her but ignored her comment. “Why the hell is she crying” I asked Caden.

He looked between Elli and me and wiggled his eyebrows at me, before answering. “Oh, Grandma Rose, died from a heart attack” He said. And Amanda cried harder. I hated watching women cry. It made my balls itch.

I kept driving until I looked over at my side, only to see someone throw a fucking car at us!. My instinct was to slam on the brakes and try to move the car out of the way, and the girls screaming in the process but it was no use. The other car hit us and made the hummer flip like four times. Shit.

Well, this was fun to write.

Poor them, they can’t catch a break :/. Who the hell threw that car????.
