“So you’re not from here?” matamis kong tanong sa kanya with matching kindat pa. He’s so wafu kasi! Sagad. At kinikilig ako.

“I’m not,” sagot niya.

“Well, kung hindi ka from here, may dinadalaw ka, right?” OMG. Siya na yata ang Prince Charming ko and he’s making dalaw-dalaw to me.

He nodded. Omo! Ako! I knew it! I smiled sweetly at him. “Let me guess. Ako ang dinadalaw mo, right?”

Napakurap him. “Pardon?”

“Naman. Don’t make pakipot pa. Alam ko namang ako ang—”

“Mr. Chua!”

Grr. I saw Sir Whoever glaring at me. Well, whoever he is. I’m so not interested in knowing his name. Ang alam ko lang, he’s a truant officer. And he’s so panira ng moment. Buwisit. “Wait lang, Sir.”

I made lingon to the wafung boylet, but bigla him naglaho! L*che. “Mr. Chua!” sigaw ni Sir Whoever. “I’m not done talking to you!”

“You were saying something, Sir?” I smiled sweetly at him.

“You’re late, Mr. Chua! It’s already eight in the morning and I assume your class starts at seven-thirty. So why are you still here? And what were you doing with that guy?”

Naman! Para thirty minutes lang late eh! What ba sinasabi niya? And what ibig niyang sabihin? What ginagawa ko with that guy a while ago? My gosh. I mean… Ugh. Never mind. “Oh, it’s already eight in the morning? Omo! Late much my watch!”

He inhaled and exhaled. Arte. “Detention after class!” he shouted at me.

“Whatever,” I muttered. Send me there, I don’t care. The fact still remains that I’m a goddess. And you’re just an alipin.

“Ma’am, hindi nga po me late eh,” I explained kay Miss Guidance Counselor.

“Seven-thirty in the morning ang umpisa ng klase niyo. Eight o’clock na, nasaan ka? Nasa labas ka pa. Anong tawag mo doon, Mr. Chua?” biglang sumabat si Sir Whoever. So epal. Nakakainis.

“Oh, eight o’clock na pala that time? Omo. My watch is late much na pala,” inosenteng sabi ko.

“Mr. Chua,” the guidance counselor said in a warning voice.

“Okay, okay, fine!” I held up my hands.

“And Sir Rommy saw you flirting with a guy. Is that true?” naiilang na tanong ni Miss Guidance Counselor.

“Me? Flirting with him? Excuse me?” I asked innocently.

“Are you implying that you were not flirting with him?”

“Of course, I wasn’t flirting with him! He was flirting with me!” I said.

“My goodness, Mr. Chua. Nakaka-stress ka. Nakaka-stress kayong dalawa,” she said while making tingin-tingin kay Yumi. Yumi ignored her.
