"I'm not much of a cook, but I cook a mean bowl of oatmeal."
"Hey Nate!"
"Hi Bee."
"You sound funny, what's wrong?"
"Calico ran off this morning, no clue where she went."
"Oh fuck, don't worry Nate, we'll find her."
"We?"
"Danny, you, and I."
"And how are you going to help Bea?"
"One, no need to get snippy. Two, posters, flyers, go out and ask people, post stuff on social media. If you want to find her, you have to put yourself out there. You said she's a rescue, right?"
"Um, yeah."
"So she's smart and knows her way around. What have you done so far?"
"We are printing out a ton of flyers now."
"Okay good, put them everywhere. Send me a picture of one, so I can copy and print some out to put around my side of town."
"Got it, will do."
"Perfect."
"Oh, and Bea?"
"Yeah?"
"Thank you, I've never been too good at taking control of situations."
"That's fine Gnat, I used to be terrible at it."
"Well, I'll text you and start putting these flyers up."
"Okay, good luck Nate."
"Thank you Bea."
"Anytime Nathan, now go find your cat."
===
"I've never seen someone get you out of a slump that quick."
"Shut up Danny, and go hang these up."
"Just because you can't be snippy with her doesn't mean you can be snippy with me."
"Are you going to help me find Cali or not?"
"I am!"
"Then go hang up the posters!"
"Alright, alright!"
