This is another area where white feminism gets it wrong. They only whine about male privilege, and forget about white privilege. As a white feminist, you are less oppressed than feminist of color.

White privilege is when people of color get harsher sentences for the same crime as whites, or harsh sentences for low level offenses.

White privilege is when a black woman wear her hair in it's natural state, it's deemed "unprofessional". PSA, white hair, is natural too.
When a school can ban cornrows, braids, locs, and other black hair styles so black girls can't wear protective styles, and will be forced to get a perm or weave so they'll look less black; so black boys will look less thuggish.

On a black person, dreadlocks are sometimes deemed dirty and thuggish. But when a white person gets locs, it's trendy and fashionable.

It's when a group of black kids is automatically suspicious, but a group of white kids isn't.

It's when black parents tell their children that they'll have to work twice as hard as their white friends- just because they're black; because teachers and professor will automatically be biased solely because of the color of our skin. (Does this happen with other poc?

It's when black people feel nervous whenever they're stopped by a police officer because their name might become the next hash tag and they'll be added to the long list of police brutality victims. When black people have to worry about which officer will be the "bad guy".

Check. Your. Privilege. I'm sorry but it's true (at least in middle class America).
