I woke up at 10 am on Sunday, a in a second I had a big smile on my face.

I knew what today was.

It was my date with Luke.

Yes, I was hype.

I mean what were the odds of me, a girl from a small town, dating a broadway star in New York City. Especially beating out the competition.

I headed to the bathroom, and took a very long bath. I had to be pretty for this, I mean, first dates are important.

Back in Ohio, I had one boyfriend in my whole time there. His name was Logan, and we were in love. Until he cheated on me with my friend in the 8th grade .

It was depressing, and I haven't dated anyone in my 3 years of high school because high school is way worse than middle school, and that humiliation will be awful.

I got out of the bathroom and picked out my clothes. I put on cute bleached jeans, and cute top, with really cute vans. I made my hair wavy, and let it out. I put on a heavy jacket, since it wasn't freezing outside.

Bryan wasn't here, he was out with friends, so I just headed out.

I decided to text Luke.

S: Hey Luke. Where do we meet?

L: Oh hey. How about we meet up at Columbus Circle?

S: Okay. See ya. =)

I was ready for this. First NYC date. This is so much.

I took the bus to Columbus Circle, it being a little far. I was pretty nervous, and was scared.

And you're probably wondering, what's up with Anne?

Well, me & her keep in touch. We text everyday. She always ask me about Luke. She feels happy for me. Which is a good feeling. She texted me that my dad got arrested. He supposedly was drinking and driving and almost hit a person. At first, I was sad, but then I realized it's better for me.

Yesterday was a really big chance for me to let go of the past. I've been holding on to it for a long tome.

I realized that it's better to just realize what's in front of me. I'm going to be on broadway.

And I don't want to sound arrogant, but I'm better than any of those people who picked on me.

So, I'm letting go of the past.

I finally made it to Columbus Circle, looked for Luke everywhere, and he's nowhere to be found.

So I decided to call.

"Hello Luke where are you?"

"Oh ya this isn't luke this is your BFF Melissa!you know that diner he was gonna take you to well we are here now he's at that bathroom, and I guess you've been ditched! Bye sweetie see you at rehearsal, if you live till then."

She hung up before I even got to say anything. I was choking in tears.

This is why I don't date.

I took a taxi home.

When I got home, Bryan was there. Since I could act, I covered up and acted happy and didn't want to make a scene since he was taking with his buddies. But, I was devastated.

He didn't see anything, thankfully.

I ran to my room, and just lied there and sobbed.

I'll just end it here.
