Chapter 14- Derick

The van suddenly stopped. It didn't seem like she had been driven far. Then the thought occurred to her that such a young girl can't drive. She was defiantly at least fifteen which was not only enough to drive without anyone. Was someone with this girl? The doors to the van swung open and Alessia saw the girl standing there pointing to her as some mad took her out. He grasped her hands that were tied behind her arms and pushed her into a room. It seemed like it was under some kind of an abandoned bridge or something. She was pushed into the room. The young girl had her arms crossed and her eyes were narrowed. She looked mad, but still innocent. Alessia didn't feel afraid or intimidated at all.

"You're Alessia hmm?" The girl said squinting her eyes at Alessia.

"Yep. That is me. And you are...?" Alessia asked her as her voice trailed off.

"Emma," She sneered. Alessia laughed a little. She was kind of amused she had such a, well, normal name. "Think that's funny?!" She retorted holding the knife in her hand. The man had to hold her back.

"You're name is just, well normal," Alessia shrugged. Then Emma walked up close to her, as far as she could get since the man was holding her back. Apparently she could be dangerous.

"Do you even know what Emma means?" She spit. "It means blood in Greek," She retorted. Alessia's eyebrows shrugged. She didn't realize it meant, well, blood! That was knew to her. Emma tried to get at Alessia, but the man took the knife from her hand. Why is this man holding her back? Alessia wondered. "GET YOUR HANDS OFF OF ME!" Emma screamed pushing him away. "Watch yourself Alessia!" Emma yelled at her as she left the room along with the man. Alessia jumped when she slammed the door. What just happened? Alessia thought. She looked around the room and spotted the knife Emma hand left. She scooted over to his and cut her hands free. She looked around and tried opening the door. Locked. She looked around and spotted a case. She walked over to it slowly. It seemed to be under a few old rags and things. She blew off the dust and opened the box. Opening it up, she saw a beautiful sword. It looked old, but yet so clean like it had not ever been used before. She put her hand on it then heard the door about to open. She quickly closed the case and put the rags over it, but the door opened too soon. Alessia turned around to find an elder lady standing there watching her. She looked around the age of sixty or so, blonde hair and a tight cloths. It was Kenna.

"You must be Alessia," Kenna said walking over to her. Alessia still held the knife. Two men came in and held Alessia making her drop the knife.

"Get off of me!" Alessia yelled trying to push away, but they were so strong compared to her.

"Ah, now you are sounding like my step daughter," Kenna laughed. Is that who Emma is to her? Her step daughter? Alessia thought glaring at Kenna who stood there laughing and snorting. She looked into her eyes and read her mind. Her eyes flickered grey. Before she had time to read her mind Kenna spoke. "I see your eyes turn grey when you read my mind," Kenna said looking into her eyes. Alessia was shocked and surprised. "Go ahead, read it," Kenna urged her. Alessia looked away as her eyes turned blue again. Alessia breathed hard. She struggled to get away as Kenna laughed. "Why leave now? Stay a while," Kenna said smiling evilly.

"What do you have against me?" Alessia asked.

"Oh, nothing against you. I just want your power," Kenna laughed as she turned to leave. The guards walked with her letting Alessia go.

"Don't you already have a power though?" Alessia said picking up the knife. Kenna stopped in her foot steps. "Why do you want mine if you already have one? There's no point!" Alessia said throwing the knife at Kenna. She turned around and held her hand up in the air. The knife stood there in mid air as Kenna held up a force field.
