"I'm perfectly happy with my life, I do not need help with anything." I stated. How dare he say that I needed help. I'm not the one whoring around, doing drugs, and getting drunk twenty-four seven.
"But you do." He said leaning back against the couch and crossing his arms over his t-shirt clad chest. "Just like you're doing now, you're trying to push me away."
"I'm trying to stop you from prying in my personal life!" He never fails to fill me with rage.
"I'm not prying." He said calmly bringing his pinky finger up to pick at his perfect teeth.
"You're a nuisance that has invaded my life! Ever since the day I wrongingly agreed to skip class with Calum you haven't left me alone, you've forced youself into my life! Why is that?" I had now removed myself from the seat beside him and stood with my arms flinging around in frustration.
"I have my reasons." He said, I could tell he was begining to get angry himself.
"What? What could possibly be your 'reasons'?!" I yelled. "There's someone who's pants you haven't gotten in yet?!"
"Oh, don't flatter yourself!" He said.
I let out a frustrated noise and stomped to the door. Completely barefoot and in now dry clothes I was ready to take on the cold rain again and attempt to find my way home, or to Calum's house. I don't think I'm prepared to go back home and be met by more of my mothers insults. Before I could completely make it to the door I heard Luke calling me. "ASHTON!" I continued to ignore him as I began to fiddle with the chain lock and slid it across. Once I got the door open barely enough for a cat to squeeze through a hand slammed it closed and upon turning my head I came in contact with the dark inkings scattered on Luke's right arm.
"You'll get wet again, sugar." He breathed out against my cheek.
"I don't care." I mumbled.
"You'll get sick." He said, his palm still pressed against the green painted wood.
"I just want to leave." I choked out.
His head fell forward onto my shoulder as he let out a sigh,"I'm sorry."
"C-Can I borrow your phone?" I asked. He sighed again before reaching in his pocket and pulling out his phone he handed it to me and I was met by his Blink-182 wallpaper and lock screen. When I slid the lock I was met with a pass code.
"Let me." He said taking the slim device from my hands and quickly punching in his code before handing it back over to me. "Who...who are you calling?" He asked.
"Calum, why?"
"I just... I heard you had a rather bulky older brother." He said trying to play it cool. I bit the inside of my lips to keep from cracking a smile and laugh.
I punched in the number I know by heart and listened to the dial tone ring. "Hello?"
"Cal, it's me." I said.
"Ash? Who's phone are you on?" he asked.
"Uh.. Luke's." I said.
