Max was really starting to get worried as he hopped down the fire escape. It had been two days since he broke up with Gidget and Duke went missing, along with Snowball. Max wanted to consult with his friends but he had no idea where they were in the city. Huffing, he entered Buddy's apartment.
Mel, Buddy, and Sweetpea were lounging around on the floor, which surprised Max. They usually played video games at this time of day. "What's up guys? Why aren't you playing video games?" Max questioned his friends. All three shared sideways glances but didn't say a word. The terrier looked down at them, waiting for an answer. Yet he still didn't get one.
At least, not until a voice piped up behind his back...
